The song "Els Ocells" by Els Amics De Les Arts speaks about the arrival of winter and how the birds migrate to warmer places. The birds are synchronized in their movements purely by instinct, which the singer admires. They leave their homes to look for more comfortable habitats. They fly over the desert, crystal clear oases and grasslands in search of warmth.
In the next stanza, the singer talks about a familiar song that he recognizes. The song speaks of the relationship between the singer and the other person. The other person is told that they always have access to a phone number where they can call for help when cold. The singer describes how he crossed the city on a cold evening to reach the other person despite being tired. The lyrics emphasize that this action was done out of love for the other person.
The song's paradox is highlighted in the final stanza: that the happiest moments between the singer and the other person were when they were manipulating each other. Although they tried to love each other and share happiness, they ended up blowing everything up. Despite this, the singer is willing to be the one who will comfort the other person, saying that he could be the one to pick them up from work whenever they need it.
