Eluveitie use both traditional Swiss and Celtic instruments alongside electric guitars and drums. Their music is known to be inspired by Gothenburg’s melodic death metal Scene and their lyrics are written in a mix of English and Gaulish. The name of the band comes from a graffito on a vessel from Mantua (ca. 300 BC). The inscription in Etruscan letters reads eluveitie, which has been interpreted as the Etruscan form of the Celtic (h)elvetios (“the Helvetian”), presumably referring to a man of Helvetian descent living in Mantua.
On 14 October 2017, the band announced via social media that they were working on a new album, and were to due to start recording after their Maximum Evocation tour. The band also revealed that they had recorded a single in advance of the tour, at Tommy Vetterli's New Sound Studio, entitled "Rebirth". The single was released on 27 October 2017, along with a music video produced by Wolfgang Wolman and Oliver Sommer. "Rebirth" marked the first non-acoustic record produced by the new line-up. On the band's official Instagram account, it was announced the new album is called Ategnatos. It was released on 5 April 2019. On 2 June 2022, the band released a brand new single "Aidus" along with a music video. On 5 July, the band announced that Michalina Malisz left the band on good terms

A Rose For Epona
Eluveitie Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Do you see the tears?
Do you see the bloodshed in this fell war?
Have you forsaken us?
Have you forgotten our faithful men calling your name?
While I stand before you
While I lay down a crimson rose
While holding hands are forced apart
While hopes bog like condemned men
Were you there?
The sky is falling on me
As your hand's turning old and weak
I'm giving myself upon to thee
A futile sacrifice gone sere
In your nemeton
These grey stone walls are cold and silent
As the fallen mother gone deaf
Mistress of shattered hopes
And forever broken dreams
Were you there?
The sky is falling on me
As your hand's turning old and weak
I'm giving myself upon to thee
A futile sacrifice gone sere
Epo, Epo, why has thou forsaken me?
Together we go unsung
Into thy hand I commend my spirit
Together we go down with our people
Were you there?
Were you there?
The sky is falling on me
As your hand's turning old and weak
I'm giving myself upon to thee
A futile sacrifice gone sere
Falling on me
The song "A Rose For Epona" by Eluveitie is a tribute to the goddess of war and fertility, Epona. The lyrics convey the pain and sorrow of the people who worshiped her, questioning whether she has forgotten about them. The thorns, tears, and bloodshed represent the sacrifices and hardships endured by her followers. The singer addresses Epona directly, wondering if she has forsaken them during their time of need.
The chorus, "The sky is falling on me, as your hand's turning old and weak, I'm giving myself upon to thee, a futile sacrifice gone sere," showcases the desperation of the singer as he/she surrenders to Epona's will, even if it leads to an ultimately meaningless sacrifice. The nemeton, a sacred grove dedicated to Epona, is described as cold and silent, with the fallen mother, Epona, unable to hear the cries of her people. The song ends with the singer asking Epona if she was there with them, through their struggles and suffering.
Overall, "A Rose For Epona" is a powerful song that captures the pain and hopelessness of a people struggling to survive in a time of war.

@Saurabh Jain ooh, speaking of amaranthe, id suggestbthe bands
"amaranthe, helix" (electronic powermetal)
and "icon for hire, cynics and critics" (electronic nu metal)
or, for an odd sound "draconian, sleepwalkers" (gentle gothic funeral-doom metal. with death growls you could FALL ASLEEP to ,😂🤘)
you got any suggestions?

@bazookallamaproductions5280
this is the song i use to trick people into becoming metalheads.
break a few stereotypes and show them how beautiful and diverse metal can be.
@saurabhjain9785
good strategy,
even I use this strategy
@bazookallamaproductions5280
@Saurabh Jain ive also started using "yannis Papadopoulos, ghost love score" (covered from nightwish)
(symphonic metal)
or igorrr, tout petit moineau (operatic noisecore metal)
because most people hear metal and instantly think of thrash or deathcore. theres so much MORE. lmao.
@saurabhjain9785
@Bazooka Llama Productions you wont believe me, I m listening Nightwish song only right now- Amaranth
btw nice suggestions I will listen to them all.
