In 1999 their first album Move Your Feet it's One O'clock (Rock'n'Roll Rec.) was released. In 2000 followed their second Go Home and Practice (Rock'n'Roll Rec.) and in 2003 their third album Summer Edition (EJ Rec/ Multimedia). In cooperation with German record company Grover Rec. the Summer Edition was released and promoted also in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands, and in cooperation with Italian record company Rude Rec. in Italy, Spain and even Japan. The band had concerts in numerous clubs, halls and festivals all over Europe. They made thousands of kilometers through Italy, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic, France, Portugal, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Bolgaria, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Croatia, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. In all, they've played over 600 shows, a lot of them outside Slovenia. They've played with well-known names, such as Fishbone, Toasters, Looking Up, Burning Heads, Murphy's Law, Vice Squad, Subhumans, Edna's Goldfish, The Offspring, Asian Dub Foundation, Vandals, D.O.A., Goldfinger, Citizen Fish, Propagandhi, Ska P and NoFx.
In the years following the third album, the band made a lot of changes, the important one being finding new drummer. Now, with the newest album Elvis Jackson - David Kovšca – Buda (vocals), Boštjan Beltram – Berto (guitar), Erik Makuc – Slavc (bass guitar) and Marko Soršak – Soki (drums) - is a team that is more harmonious and creative than ever.
Fourteen new songs for the new Against the Gravity album were recorded over the summer of 2008 in cooperation with producer Bill Gould (Faith No More bass player; prod. credit: Faith No More, Brujeria, Beatsteaks, Kultur Shock) in the best Slovenian recording studios RSL in Novo mesto. The mixing was done in the Radio Star Studios in the USA by Rich Veltrop (Tom Petty, Rage Against the Machine, Slayer, System of a Down, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ozzy with South Park, Spinal Tap, David Coverdale, 311, Buddy Guy, L.A. Guns and Toto), and the mastering by the renowned John Cuniberti (Aerosmith, Davea Matthews, The Grateful Dead, Tracy Chapman, Dead Kennedys, Joe Satirani).
This time the group presented itself as extremely mature. Their songs are multilayered, energetic, dynamically playful, and yet melodic. Against The Gravity therefore offers power, variety, and drive. The lyrics are either socially critical or reflections and feelings stemming from the surrounding world.
Elvis Jackson have a reputation of a band that wins you over in an instant - with their directness, energy, perfection and natural charisma. This was confirmed also by many musical awards, especially the ones they've received for their live performances.

Elvis Jackson Lyrics

Not getting used to that money makes the world go around
I can't believe it there's no other way, money makes the world go around
Running I'm running far away and there is no one to stop me 'cause I don't care
And I am getting used to that money makes the world go around
Running I am running far and there is no one to stop me 'cause I don't care
I got my own way my own direction I can feel it every single day
Don't want to stay there what am I waiting no one cares about me anyway
Running I'm running far away and there is no one to stop me 'cause I don't care!
The lyrics of Elvis Jackson's song Running in 2-3 are a reflection on the corrupting influence of money and the desire to escape its grasp. The singer is feeling broken and defeated, exhausted by the relentless pursuit of wealth that seems to dominate the world around them. They are disillusioned with the idea that money is the key to happiness and success, yet find themselves unable to break free from its hold.
Despite this, the singer is determined to forge their own path and break free of the constraints that society has placed upon them. They feel a sense of urgency to escape, to run away from the pressures of daily life and the expectations of those around them. The repeated refrain of "Running I'm running far away and there is no one to stop me 'cause I don't care" emphasizes the sense of isolation and determination that the singer feels.
Overall, the lyrics of Running in 2-3 are a powerful commentary on the destructive influence of money and the desire for freedom and independence. It is a call to break free of the constraints of society and pursue one's own path. It is a reminder that although the pursuit of wealth may seem like the key to happiness, true freedom and happiness can only be found by following one's own heart.
