I Was Born About Ten Thousand Years Ago
Elvis Presley Lyrics

I saw old pharaoh's daughter bring Moses from the water
I'll lick the guy that says it isn't so

I was born about ten thousand years ago
There ain't nothing in this world that I don't know
I saved king David's life and he offered me a wife
I said now you're talking business have a chair

Yeah, I was born about ten thousand years ago
Ain't nothing in this world that I don't know
Saw Peter, Paul and Moses playing ring around the roses
I'll lick the guy that says it isn't so

I was born about ten thousand years ago
Ain't nothing in this world that I don't know
I saw old pharaoh's daughter bring Moses from the water
I'll lick the guy that says it isn't so

I was there when old Noah built the ark
And I crawled in the window after dark
I saw Jonah eat the whale and dance with the lion's tale
And I crossed over Canaan on a log

I was born about ten thousand years ago
Ain't nothing in this world that I don't know
I saw old pharaoh's daughter bring Moses from the water
I'll lick the guy that says it isn't so

Yeah, I was born about ten thousand years ago
Ain't nothing in this world that I don't know
Saw Peter, Paul and Moses playing ring around the roses
I'll lick the guy that says it isn't so

I was there when old Noah built the ark
And I crawled in the window after dark
I saw Jonah eat the whale and dance with the lion's tale
And I crossed over Canaan on a log

I was born about ten thousand years ago
There ain't nothing in this world that I don't know
I saved king David's life and he offered me a wife
I said now you're talking business have a chair

Yeah, I was born about ten thousand years ago
Ain't nothing in this world that I don't know
Saw Peter, Paul and Moses playing ring around the roses
I'll lick the guy that says it isn't so

One day, on a city street, I saw an old man sitting on the sidewalk.
With a chariot of alms and a viola in his hand
The people stopped to listen, he thanked the coins
And he sang this song, which told a story
Which was more or less like this:

I was born ten thousand years ago
And there is nothing in this world that I do not know too much (2x)

I saw Christ being crucified
Love to be born and be murdered
I saw the witches on fire to pay their sins,
I saw,
I saw Moses crossing the Red Sea
I saw Muhammad fall on the ground on his knees
I saw Peter deny Christ three times before the mirror
I saw,

I was born
(I was born)
Ten thousand years ago
(I was born ten thousand years ago)
And there is nothing in this world that I do not know too much (2x)

I saw the candles light up for the Pope
I saw Babylon being struck off the map
I saw Count Dracula sucking the new blood
And hiding behind the cover
I saw,
I saw the ark of Noah cross the seas
I saw Solomon sing his psalms in the air
I saw Zumbi run away with the blacks to the forest
Pro quilombo dos palmares
I saw,

I was born
(I was born)
Ten thousand years ago
(I was born ten thousand years ago)
And there is nothing in this world that I do not know too much (2x)

I saw the blood flowing from the mountain
When Hitler called all of Germany
I saw the soldier who dreamed of his beloved in a campaign bed
I read,
I read the sacred symbols of Umbanda
I was a child to be able to dance ciranda
And when they all crouched against the cold,
I made the bed on the porch.

I was born
(I was born)
Ten thousand years ago
(I was born ten thousand years ago)
And there's nothing in this world that I do not know too much about.

No no why
I was born
(I was born)
Ten thousand years ago
(I was born ten thousand years ago)
And there's nothing in this world that I do not know too much about.
No, no

I was together with the monkeys in the cave
I drank wine with the women in the tavern.
And when the stone fell from the bluff
I broke my leg too.
Me too,
I was a witness of Rapunzel's love
I saw the star of David shine in the sky
And for the one who proves that I'm lying
I take my hat off

I was born
(I was born)
Ten thousand years ago
(I was born ten thousand years ago)
And there's nothing in this world that I do not know too much about.

Judas Sabbath

Eu prefiro a versão do raul seixas . Sou louco

Wellington Albuquerque
