If I Can Dream
Elvis Presley Lyrics

There must be lights burning brighter somewhere
Got to be birds flying higher in a sky more blue
If I can dream of a better land
Where all my brothers walk hand in hand
Tell me why, oh why, oh why can't my dream come true
oh why
There must be peace and understanding sometime
Strong winds of promise that will blow away the doubt and fear
If I can dream of a warmer sun
Where hope keeps shining on everyone
Tell me why, oh why, oh why won't that sun appear

We're lost in a cloud
With too much rain
We're trapped in a world
That's troubled with pain
But as long as a man
Has the strength to dream
He can redeem his soul and fly
Deep in my heart there's a trembling question
Still I am sure that the answer gonna come somehow
Out there in the dark, there's a beckoning candle

And while I can think, while I can talk
While I can stand, while I can walk
While I can dream, please let my dream
Come true, right now
Let it come true right now
Oh yeah

Señor XREY

FINALLY this comes out in ((STEREO)) after 50 years! Amazing separation!

@Emmanuel Jeremy I haven't noticed anything obvious. What did you notice? Often 60s mono singles have an additional vocal or instrumental overlay not on the album or stereo mix. Nothing stood out to me other than how good it sounds in stereo.

@Emmanuel Jeremy the original 1968 hit 45 was only released in mono as well as on the zillions of Elvis comps that would follow. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-tot-m8DSk I believe the stereo mix was located when the producers were reissuing the first reissue of the "68 Comeback Special. back in 2008. The way the industry treats their masters makes one surprised they even know what they have for their valuable assets. Same story with the original 1969 release of "Suspicious Minds" that was never released in stereo until they stumbled upon the unmarked stereo tape master in 1983 while looking for something else!

Señor XREY can you notice some differences between the original?
