It Hurts Me
Elvis Presley Lyrics
It hurts me to see him treat you the way that he does
It hurts me to see you sit and cry
When I know I could be so true
If I had someone like you
It hurts me to see those tears in your eyes
The whole town is talking, they're callin' you a fool
For listening to his same old lies
And when I know I could be so true
If I had someone like you
You love him so much, you're too blind to see
He's only playing a game
He's never loved you, he never will
And darling, don't you know he' ll never change
I know that he never will set you free
Because he's just that kind of guy
But if you ever tell him you're through
I'll be waiting for you
Waiting, to hold you so tight
Waiting, to kiss you goodnight
Yes, darling, if I had someone like you

Elvis Aaron Presley (January 8, 1935 – August 16, 1977) was an American singer and actor. Regarded as one of the most significant cultural icons of the 20th century, he is often referred to as the "King of Rock and Roll" or simply "the King".
Presley was born in Tupelo, Mississippi, and relocated to Memphis, Tennessee, with his family when he was 13 years old. His music career began there in 1954, recording at Sun Records with producer Sam Phillips, who wanted to bring the sound of African American music to a wider audience. Presley was born in Tupelo, Mississippi, and relocated to Memphis, Tennessee, with his family when he was 13 years old. His music career began there in 1954, recording at Sun Records with producer Sam Phillips, who wanted to bring the sound of African American music to a wider audience. Accompanied by guitarist Scotty Moore and bassist Bill Black, Presley was a pioneer of rockabilly, an uptempo, backbeat-driven fusion of country music and rhythm and blues. In 1955, drummer D. J. Fontana joined to complete the lineup of Presley's classic quartet and RCA Victor acquired his contract in a deal arranged by Colonel Tom Parker, who would manage the singer for more than two decades. Presley's first RCA single, "Heartbreak Hotel", was released in January 1956 and became a number one hit in the United States. With a series of successful network television appearances and chart-topping records, he became the leading figure of the newly popular sound of rock and roll. His energized interpretations of songs and sexually provocative performance style, combined with a singularly potent mix of influences across color lines during a transformative era in race relations, made him enormously popular—and controversial.
In November 1956, Presley made his film debut in Love Me Tender. Drafted into military service in 1958, Presley relaunched his recording career two years later with some of his most commercially successful work. He held few concerts however, and guided by Parker, proceeded to devote much of the 1960s to making Hollywood movies and soundtrack albums, most of them critically derided. In 1968, following a seven-year break from live performances, he returned to the stage in the acclaimed television comeback special Elvis, which led to an extended Las Vegas concert residency and a string of highly profitable tours. In 1973, Presley gave the first concert by a solo artist to be broadcast around the world, Aloha from Hawaii. Years of prescription drug abuse severely compromised his health, and he died suddenly in 1977 at his Graceland estate, just 42 years of age.
Presley is one of the most celebrated and influential musicians of the 20th century. Commercially successful in many genres, including pop, country, blues, and gospel, he is the best-selling solo artist in the history of recorded music. He won three competitive Grammys, received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award at age 36, and has been inducted into multiple music halls of fame.

"Nobody can sing the gospel better than Elvis"
-Mahalia Jackson
When I first heard Elvis’ voice, I just knew that I wasn’t going to work for anybody; and nobody was going to be my boss…Hearing him for the first time was like busting out of jail.”—Bob Dylan
“I remember Elvis as a young man hanging around the Sun Studios. Even then, I knew this kid had a tremendous talent. He was a dynamic young boy. His phraseology, his way of looking at a song, was as unique as Sinatra’s. I was a tremendous fan, and had Elvis lived, there would have been no end to his inventiveness.”—B.B. King

ITS MY FAVORITE! I enjoy the 68 comeback 1 due to it's faster & hes really passionate in it. Question if anyone can please help me with this please please do?
I'm trying to understand how my "reaction vidoes" to his music, 2 ive done have been deleted due to SME ownership & copyright after being up a day or 2. I dont want to lose my family's channel not knowing what I'm doing wrong & plan to make another channel just for his music & others in case. I see others upload "non reaction" vidoes like the same ones of his music videos off the comeback version & others or just the songs from the 68 or those SME owns.
These same songs or videos I did they deleted but they kept theirs some how I dont understand. Ive noticed alot are being removed owned by SME recently but like this 1 & other channels they dont.
I'm unsure how I need to correctly do so or avoid another copyright & losing my family channel & small amount of subs I do have.
If anyone knows how I can do so please help me. This is 1 of my many favorites he did & I want to do a reaction video to it & not get it deleted for copyright. What is it I need to do or purchase to avoid this. I'm doing non reaction videos to but want to do a few more reaction ones. Tanks in advance if u help me.
Until 1 day u can afford to travel other places to do what I really want to for his fans who like myself cant travel around to see historic areas etx.

And yet, about 300 dumb people gave this a thumbs down.

Hard to believe this recording was released as the B-side to the significantly inferior "Kissin' Cousins." This song should have been a HUGE hit for Elvis.
