.Too Much
.Elvis Presley(貓王)

Honey, I love you too much
Need your lovin' too much
Want the thrill of your touch
Gee, I can't hold you too much
You do all the livin'
While I do all the givin'
Cause I love you too much

You spend all my money too much
Have to share you honey, too much
When I want some lovin', you're gone
Don't you know you're treatin' me wrong
Now you got me started
Don't you leave me broken hearted
Cause I love you too much

Need your lovin' all the time
Need you huggin', please be mine
Need you near me, stay real close
Please, please, hear me, you're the most
Now you got me started
Don't you leave me broken hearted
Cause I love you too much

.Elvis Presley(貓王)

Ev'ry time I kiss your sweet lips
I can feel my heart go flip flip
I'm such a fool for your charms
Take me back baby in your arms
Like to hear you sighin'
Even though I know you're lyin'
Cause I love you too much

Need your lovin' all the time
Need you huggin', please be mine
Need you near me, stay real close
Please, please, hear me, you're the most
Now you got me started
Don't you leave me broken hearted
Cause I love you too much

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Elvis Presley's song "Too Much" express the intense and obsessive love of the singer for his beloved. He cannot get enough of her love and affection, and he is willing to do everything for her, even to his own detriment. He sings about how he needs her all the time, how he wants to hold her and feel the thrill of her touch. However, he also laments how she takes advantage of his love, spends all his money, and leaves him broken-hearted when she goes away.

The song's upbeat tempo and catchy melody contrast with its underlying theme of unrequited love and emotional dependency. Elvis's powerful vocals and raucous guitar riffs add to the emotional intensity of the song. Despite the song's superficially happy tone, it is a melancholy reflection of the darker side of love.

Overall, "Too Much" is a classic Elvis Presley song that captures the raw emotions of obsessive love. It is a testament to the King of Rock and Roll's ability to infuse even the simplest lyrics with deep meaning and emotional power.

Agreed. For some reason, Elvis' 1950s TV appearances have never been compiled and released on dvd/blue ray.

You'd think it would be a no-brainer!

In 1956-57, he made a total of twelve different TV appearances:

Six on the "Dorsey Brothers Show"
Two on the "Milton Berle Show"
One on the "Steve Allen Show"
Three on the "Ed Sullivan Show"

So it's not like there's no material.

One thing I like most about Elvis is that he never seemed to take himself too seriously. He was just having fun and seemed surprised at the reaction he would get when he would make Elvis moves....😎

@RSVPini
It takes a great artist to make people believe that all he is doing is just having fun.
Elvis took his music extraordinarily seriously.

@RSVPini

@@lechat8533 - That's correct but he didn't take himself so seriously. He was an entertainer and enjoyed what he did.

@danc3693

He took it all VERY seriously — don’t kid yourself — but he knew his audience and they were teens so he was very deliberate in how he projected himself. IMHO of course.
