When I was a kid my mom would watch Elvis movies on tv and I’d be annoyed, as I got older I’d watched the Elvis movies with my mom and grew to love and appreciate his style and his music. I'm English and have been an Elvis fan since the age of 3 years old in 1968. I've been to Graceland several times over. Elvis is truly unsurpassed, noone compares,it is not possible. He changed not only music but also the culture of America in the 1950's. A pure God given talent and also a man of great compassion for others.
I had the privilege of standing on the very spot he stood as he recorded this incredible song in 1969 at American Sound Studios in Memphis. That was in August 1987, just to let you know the floor was wooden floorboards.
This is my favourite Elvis song, his Memphis sessions of 1969 are a musical masterpiece.

Watched the movie last weekend. I loved it, I know Baz Luhrman isn't everyone's favorite director, but the performances were beautiful, the depiction of an artist living to perform for his audience was so real. Doctors, preachers and psychologists gave lectures on those legs & hip movements damaging women’s’ well being. In early 1977, we went to his live concert in Columbia,SC Colosseum. I just heard this as one of the final songs on the 1st half of tonight's Name That Tune. I am so grateful to be able to pull up music instantly and for free here. Life 😔 sure is different in the early spring time of 2022 than it was when Elvis made this song, yet this song still has relevance to relationships everywhere.

Music is my drug of choice, it has no harsh side effects and addiction to it isn't hurtful. It does have side effects, sad songs can make me cry or grieve someone out of the blue. It may also trigger impulses to dance even when I don't feel like moving a muscle, or a lasting attachment to a song or artist. It was a song that gave me the impulse that brought me here tonight!
