The lyrics to Ely Guerra's song "Bésame" are a simple repetition of the phrase "Bésame" which translates to "Kiss me" in English. While the lyrics themselves may not be particularly profound, the repetition and emphasis on the word "Bésame" create a sense of longing, desire, and passion.
The repetition of the phrase "Bésame" throughout the song could be interpreted as the singer's urgent plea to be kissed by her lover. The use of the word "soy" which means "I am" in English implies that the singer is wholly devoted to her lover and is for him alone. The repetition of the word also creates a hypnotic effect, drawing the listener in and creating a sense of intimacy and connection.
Overall, "Bésame" is a simple but effective love song, expressing the intense desire and passion that can be present in a relationship.
