Mejor Me Voy

Explicando bien
A falta de precisas conclusiones
Te diré
De corazón
Lo que puede haber
En esta relación que se ha formado
Sin querer
Sin querer te fui
Cediendo
Una y otra más
Mi tiempo
Y es que tú
Y es que yo
Tenemos
Algo en común
Algo en común
Mejor te voy
Ubicando bien
No es que yo quiera imponer mi espacio
Pero sé de corazón
Que hay que establecer
Los límites que pueden acercarnos
Sin querer
Sin querer te fui cediendo
Una y otra mas
Mi tiempo
Y es que tú
Y es que yo
Tenemos
Algo en común
Algo en común
The song Mejor Me Voy, by Ely Guerra, talks about a relationship that has formed unintentionally and has reached a point where the singer feels the need to establish boundaries. The lyrics express a sense of resignation and understanding that sometimes relationships don't work out, and it's better to walk away. The singer's honesty is evident throughout the song as she tries to explain her feelings to the other person, without imposing her own space.
The first verse talks about the lack of clear conclusions and how the singer will explain the situation from the heart. She talks about how the relationship has formed without either of them intending for it to happen, and how she has been giving in to the other person's needs and wants. The second verse repeats the same idea of giving in without intending to, but this time, the singer talks about the need to establish boundaries.
The chorus repeats the phrase "algo en común" which translates to "something in common." It's unclear as to what this is referring to, but it could be interpreted as the reason the relationship started in the first place.
Overall, the song is a commentary on navigating relationships and how sometimes it's better to walk away than to force something that isn't working.
