Don't Say A Word

Don't say a word
I know how it feels to lose somebody
I see you
Walking upon your life alone
Like everybody
Nobody knows
The feeling's getting strong
How I long the years of serenity
Nobody cares
What's about to happen
The feeling's getting strong
How I long the years of serenity
I feel you
Don't say a word
Now all I've ever dreamed
Is feel somebody
I see you
Walking upon your life alone
Like everybody
Nobody knows
What's about to happen
The feeling's getting strong
How I long the years of serenity
Nobody cares
What's about to happen
The feeling's getting strong
How I long the years of serenity
I feel you
I see you
Walking upon your life alone
I feel you
I see you
Walking upon your life alone
Nobody knows
What's about to happen
The feeling's getting strong
How I long the years of serenity
Nobody cares
What's about to happen
The feeling's getting strong
How I long the years of serenity
No...Nobody knows
The feeling's getting strong
How I long the years of serenity
No...Nobody cares
The feeling's getting strong
How I long the years of serenity
The lyrics of Elysion's song "Don't Say A Word" portrays a sense of loss and loneliness. The lyrics suggest that the singer understands what it feels like to lose someone and sees someone else going through the same experience. The line "walking upon your life alone, like everybody" exemplifies how losing someone is a universal experience, and the singer understands this. The repetition of "nobody knows" and "nobody cares" in the song implies that the singer is feeling isolated and that no one can understand the depth of their emotions.
The chorus, "what's about to happen, the feeling's getting strong, how I long the years of serenity," could signify a feeling of impending doom and that the singer wishes to go back to a time of peace and calm. The repetition of "I feel you, I see you" could suggest empathy towards the person who is dealing with loss, and the singer might be trying to offer comfort by saying they understand what the other person is going through.
