And also rather than focusing on development of technology that will see less adoption like this China should strongly focus on it's current shortcomings especially when all these kind of sanctions getting on their back. One industry analysis reported that China still had a shortcomings in 5G related chips. The report mentioned an issue related to 5G in China;

He said Huawei buys components from companies in Japan, Taiwan and the U.S. “Because of that we have a lot of sources of data for Huawei and have a very close read on what they’re doing,” he said.

Madden said the Chinese government changed its plans for 5G, and instead of issuing another spectrum tender in late 2020 for 5G C-band, they decided they weren’t going to do 5G C-band but instead focus on lower spectrum bands such as 500 MHz and 700 MHz. “Huawei will be talking about shipping 300,000 base stations last year, but those base stations are low-capacity, non-massive MIMO instead of the C-band high-capacity MIMO,” said Madden."

You see the issue here. I thought Chinese telecomunication industry already had overcome this component supply issue with alternative. So Huawei and ZTE and other Chinese suppliers did too little to overcome this issue.

This is the reason why US still able to blow another sanctions hammer on China.

@E Tow It probably wont be doable any time soon, since the cost of this is many many times conventional or high speed rail. They would have to build specialized track that is likely much more expensive, then in the video it looks like they needed hundreds of power boxes for the short length of track. The main problem is space however, I don't see this transport being able to fit nearly as many people as cheaper ones, and so it will be much less profitable.

This can be use for transport goods instead of people. build enough tracks to connect city and you get a China working in over drive in production, e-commerce and manufacturing sector. It also could minimize the use of trucks over long travel. @浦和 I think You got the physic wrong. It is the acceleration rates that people need to train on. If you accelerate slowly to 1000km per hour there no need for training. Because sudden acceleration rates cause G force. That why you only feel G force when on the run way taking off and when the plane land on the runway Because of sudden acceleration and deceleration. once you reach the top speed, you don't need a lot of acceleration to keep the top speed hence very small G force.

I have followed many kind of technology development and advancement of global nations for many years and there's nothing overrated about Japan and Germany technology. Same can be say about China. Every country has it's own technology strength. In high end machineries Japan still ahead of China. This isn't my own words but coming from many market reports in and outside of China. They acknowledged what shortcoming China still has against other advanced nations. China has it's own strength in technology too.
