Upon the band's formation, they released one extended play (EP) in 2007, titled This Is Your Way Out, and shortly after, the group underwent significant line-up and sound changes, dropping their metalcore influence and leaning towards a more rock sound. The band released their debut studio album, Relativity (2008), which featured vocalist Jonny Craig and rhythm guitarist Jonas Ladekjaer. Their second studio album, Emarosa, was released in June 2010, to critical acclaim, and was Craig's final album with the group.
Following Craig's departure, the band toured briefly with a fill-in vocalist before entering a period of inactivity. Eventually, Craig was formally replaced by Walden. Emarosa then released their third studio album, Versus, on September 9, 2014, which peaked at No. 61 in the Billboard 200. The band signed to Hopeless Records and released their fourth and fifth studio albums, 131 (2016) and Peach Club (2019). A sixth, Sting, is set for release in January 2023.

A City Called Coma: Part II
Emarosa Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
The wind is not on our side
not on our side
not on our side
Pull yourself together, it’s not much further
From the top on high
the smoke is finding its way to the sky
she sits pale skinned in a fire light
One message to change her mind.
One message to change her life forever.
One message to change her mind.
He climbs over the top no breath no breath
in his weak sick lungs
she starts to run to the edge.
At last it’s over
Cling to each rock
the wind is not on our side.
She lays beside him,
His eyes so weak he can’t even make her out.
But his body feels her all around him.
She whispers something in his ear
That he takes to the grave,
To the grave.
Hours pass before they reach the top,
Before they reach the top, before. (x2)
She’s waiting. (x8)
The lyrics of Emarosa's "A City Called Coma: Part II" are quite figurative and could be interpreted in different ways. The song might be about a physical climb to a mountain top, but it could also represent a spiritual journey towards redemption. The opening lines are urging the listener to persevere despite the unfavorable conditions: "Cling to each rock, the wind is not on our side." This could mean that the climb is difficult and the wind is hindering their progress, but they must hold on and keep going.
The next few lines describe the view from the top, which is obscured by smoke. The singer is reluctant to be in that place, which could be a metaphor for a 'dark place' in one's life. The focus then shifts to a female, who seems to be in some kind of danger or distress. The line "One message to change her mind, one message to change her life forever," suggests that there's a potential for a positive change, but it relies on an external factor.
The following lines describe a male trying to climb to the top, but he's struggling to breathe. Meanwhile, the female protagonist is running towards the edge, seemingly giving up. The lines "At last it's over" could mean different things; perhaps they both reached the top and the climb is over, or it could mean something more fatalistic.
The final part of the song describes the two characters lying next to each other, with the male barely conscious. The female whispers something in his ear, which he takes to the grave. The repetition of "Hours pass before they reach the top, before they reach the top," could mean that time is running out, or that the climb felt like it took hours. The song ends with the repetition of "She's waiting," leaving the listener wondering who "she" might be and what is she waiting for.

Just a small recommendation as just a nice person, ya know?
"When writing the lyrics you could add '/' 👈 that before and after you type in the chorus and/or a phrase that repeats itself in the song.
Example: The wind is ///not on our side///.
You notice how I added 3 dashes '/' before and after I typed that? Well that lets me, I mean Other People know that it's repeating 3times in the song, and you won't have to type the same thing over and over again. Which prevents many of us who are singing along while reading lyrics in front of a 'crush', who they've told, 'Thats my favorite song!' just cuz! Don't judge! Anyway causing them to mess up the song and pass blame to the singer of course.👌😉
Sorry but I felt the need to make you aware of this issue.
(And yes that just happened to me so of course I had to blame it on someone other than myself,(Because I shouldn't have lied in the first place) and yeah that's how my comment came to be!
I mean no disrespect! 🙌

This song is friggin' amazing!
But it annoys the ever-living hell outta me that it's not called I Still Feel Her Pt. 2 lol :(

@Captain Guts i just don't like how it interrupts with the continuity lol - the other 3 songs could have just as easily not been called I Still Feel Her parts 3-5🙂
Captain Guts
It really should read the other way. Part 1 is called "I Still Feel Her" and Part 2 is called "A City Called Coma"
Why the fuck am I commenting on a 8 year old comment
