Upon the band's formation, they released one extended play (EP) in 2007, titled This Is Your Way Out, and shortly after, the group underwent significant line-up and sound changes, dropping their metalcore influence and leaning towards a more rock sound. The band released their debut studio album, Relativity (2008), which featured vocalist Jonny Craig and rhythm guitarist Jonas Ladekjaer. Their second studio album, Emarosa, was released in June 2010, to critical acclaim, and was Craig's final album with the group.
Following Craig's departure, the band toured briefly with a fill-in vocalist before entering a period of inactivity. Eventually, Craig was formally replaced by Walden. Emarosa then released their third studio album, Versus, on September 9, 2014, which peaked at No. 61 in the Billboard 200. The band signed to Hopeless Records and released their fourth and fifth studio albums, 131 (2016) and Peach Club (2019). A sixth, Sting, is set for release in January 2023.

I Still Feel Her
Emarosa Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴
The street signs are much too dark to even pretend I've been here before
Where is your hand to guide me close by mine not a dead end no not this
This road goes for miles with no sign
Will she be waiting to pull me off to the side
Will she be waiting to pull me off to the side
She can't be much further as the day dies the sun fades into my eyes
She floats around inside my empty head searching for
Her touch stills move my hair the smell is so faint but it must be the one
My bones ache from the cold
No one could predict that I would ever get this far (for so long)
Do I have the strength to go on
Snow begins to fill my hair but still I press on.
Her touch still moves my hair the smell is so faint but it must be the one.
Her touch still moves my hair.
My bones ache from the cold.
No one could predict that I would ever get this far (for so long)
She's waiting, I feel her, she's waiting. At the
start of the song, the singer is driving alone on a dark and unfamiliar road. He is searching for someone, possibly a past love interest, and the darkness of the night and lack of street signs serve as a metaphor for his feelings of being lost and uncertain. He longs for the comfort and guidance of her hand, hoping it will be there to lead him to safety and away from a dead end.
As the song progresses, the singer continues on his journey with determination, despite the obstacles in his way. He stalks the chance to take them alive, indicating that he is not giving up on his search. The imagery of the sun fading into his eyes and the cold aching in his bones creates a sense of urgency and desperation. However, the faint smell and touch of the person he is searching for keeps him going.
The chorus repeats the same lines, emphasizing the singer's unwavering determination to find the person he is searching for. The song ends with the singer feeling that she is waiting for him, giving him hope that he will eventually find her.

Drawn to lines which fill the emptiness
Searching for a place
The conversations, well they start to turn
To heal the wounds
Don't fall asleep
Don't fall asleep
We can't afford you to be alone
Don't fall asleep
Don't fall asleep
Don't fall asleep
These dreams and the reality never seemed so refined
Until I awoke to find...
That this house is not a home
But something I can not define
How long will it be
Until i turn this key and just walk away
And this I find so unlike me
Seeking the parts that are lost
Never have I felt so deceived
Don't fall asleep
Don't fall asleep
We can't afford you to be alone
Don't fall asleep
Don't fall asleep
Don't fall asleep

This band composed this album so well. Johnny can't help but to bring that soul/r&b vibe everywhere with him. And this band killed it with the mellow, almost eerie soft parts but then they have these powerful heavy parts. They really know how to use dynamics musically and really use Johnny's voice and style to just outline everything so well. This is how to write music...

I agree, they have always been that way even in the original Emarosa. Although, the music was more simple, they still achieved the same interesting and dynamic approach that fits the singer. The best band I know that does this type of stuff is La Dispute. It's not a band for everyone, but it is pure poetry and pure art. Edit: the Vocalist writes poems and the band creates a song around the poem.

The beginning of this song is insane. That’s a lot of talent put in a short amount of time. Love it.
Of All My Intention
I have come back to this band for more than a decade. This band is untouchable.
The I Still Feel Her series is still my favorite bit of anything to this day. Jonny's voice and the incredible music is ridiculous...But, my favorite line will always be:
"She floats around inside my empty head...searching for." at 2:00, it is the best song...possibly ever.
aye yuh
Hope you’re still coming back

Best song Emarosa ever did. Absolutely incredible

I remember the first time I ever heard Emarosa. I was at a show, I believe it was the ADTR Homesick tour co-headlining with TDWP. And if I recall correctly the line-up was ADTR, TDWP, Emarosa, and Sky Eats Airplane. Up until that point I had never heard Emarosa but they took the stage and fucking blew me away.
I got home that evening and had to check this record out. And what surprised me was that the record wasn't even as good as their performance. Talk about talent. The record is great don't get me wrong but when they took the stage that day it was like magic. I'll never forget the impression they left on me.
