Upon the band's formation, they released one extended play (EP) in 2007, titled This Is Your Way Out, and shortly after, the group underwent significant line-up and sound changes, dropping their metalcore influence and leaning towards a more rock sound. The band released their debut studio album, Relativity (2008), which featured vocalist Jonny Craig and rhythm guitarist Jonas Ladekjaer. Their second studio album, Emarosa, was released in June 2010, to critical acclaim, and was Craig's final album with the group.
Following Craig's departure, the band toured briefly with a fill-in vocalist before entering a period of inactivity. Eventually, Craig was formally replaced by Walden. Emarosa then released their third studio album, Versus, on September 9, 2014, which peaked at No. 61 in the Billboard 200. The band signed to Hopeless Records and released their fourth and fifth studio albums, 131 (2016) and Peach Club (2019). A sixth, Sting, is set for release in January 2023.

The lyrics to Emarosa's song "I Still Feel Her Pt 4" speak about the pain and doubts that arise in the aftermath of a failed relationship. In the opening lines, the singer expresses how time seems neverending when they dream about the past hurt. They then attempt to find solace in this pain by searching for a hiding space to keep their doubts about the relationship. However, the pain doesn't seem to fade away, and they begin to realize that everyone becomes the same in the end, especially on this stormy night, leading them to a fall from grace.
The chorus repeats the phrase "well into the fold, we are" four times, emphasizing how they are too far gone to stop now. Despite the urge to give up, the singer doesn't want to fall and, instead, encourages the other person to tell them what they want to hear so that they can still hold onto some hope of being together. Wether it'd be DGD, Emarosa, Solo, or Slaves Jonny has always killed it! I'm so glad he's clean now and I hope he continues to make more awesome music for years to come. This man's voice is truly a gift from God and I'm so glad he's able to share it with the world. Yes he has made HUGE mistakes in the past but even with his faults he's still the best vocalist I'VE yet to hear. Totally fine if you disagree.
