The original release of Embient's 'For What It's Worth' hit local airwaves in Spring of 2005 on KUPD's Red Radio Underground. With fan favorites such as 'Without You' and 'Dynamics' this EP caught the ear of many listeners. Brian Meyer and Seth Terrillion took the stage as bassist and drummer to complete this original lineup of musicians. The four have performed in many Arizona venues such as Alice Cooperstown, Venue of Scottsdale, Mardi Gras, Neckbeards, and Modified. After many months of great, energetic performances, bassist Brian Meyer left the band for personal reasons. Good friend of the band Chris Satterlund soon took the stage as bassist and brought a vital ingredient to the the band - his pure insanity. Satterlund's songwriting ideas and image greatly influenced and defined the rock sound that Embient represents.
Embient's first full length album ' A Way Of Life' hit the public in January of 2006. Through the internet, word of mouth and CD distribution, this debut full length cd had easily reached tens of thousands of listeners across the country. The wildfire of music that the four had set could not be extinguished. The band had started to become known for its highly energetic live performances and free music policy.
The followings seemed to drastically expand after the band's first few showcases of the new material. Months passed as the four worked diligently to achieve progress, but it was soon to be mutually decided that Embient's percussion section was to be replaced due to conflicting values in musical interest.
The man they call Smitty was the brand new piece to the band. His incredibly fast chops and dedicated leadership role clicked with the band immediately. Bringing all the right sounds to the mix, Embient had finally started becoming the sound they had the potential to be. Stronger and more versatile then ever, Embient is currently working on a brand new untitled EP. The future of this rock project looks promising, as it continues to grow and improve over time.
Guilty
Embient Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Swallow your pride and bite down
Go through the trouble just to rearrange it
You may see this as a joke
To what I'm lookin' for
My guilt will
(Live inside of me)
This face has
(Come to change me)
Your words have
(Rearranged me)
This life has
(Found me guilty)
Here comes a change yes I know
And only time will tell though
If all these wounds will heal within me
This is the reason I try
To clean out my insides
To what I'm lookin' for
My guilt will
(Live inside of me)
This face has
(Come to change me)
Your words have
(Rearranged me)
This life has
(Found me guilty)
And when will I walk away
(x2)
And I've been livin' this for so long
(x2)
(This life has now found me guilty)
My guilt will
(Live inside of me)
This face has
(Come to change me)
Your words have
(Rearranged me)
This life has
(Found me guilty)
(x2)
The lyrics of Guilty by Embient are about the struggles and guilt that a person may go through in life. The first verse talks about how the situation has been dragged out and the need to swallow one's pride to make things right. The singer also acknowledges that while others may see the situation as a joke, they are actually very close to reaching a breakthrough. The chorus highlights the guilt that has become a part of the singer's identity and how their life has been rearranged by the words and actions of others. The second verse talks about the hope for change and the need to clean out one's insides to find what they are looking for. The final lines of the song repeat the chorus and express the desire to walk away from the guilt and pain.
The song's overall message is about the human experience of guilt and the struggle to overcome it. It talks about the challenges that come with trying to change oneself and move on from past mistakes or pain. Through the lyrics, the singer acknowledges the hurt they've experienced and the ways in which it's changed them, but they also express hope for growth and transformation.

Dear Lovely Person (that I may possibly will never met),
You're doing great! I'm so proud of you.
If you guilt, yes it's hard and it's normal but nothing will happen if you still dwell on it. It's time to move on. You can do it.
If you have fear, I'm here. We're all here for you <3
If you have anxiety, I have that too (well social anxiety disorder). I know how it feels and we're in this together. Relax and focus on yourself. Have fun.
If you have struggles or conflicts, it's okay. It's normal to have problems in your life and it will pass away. Don't worry. Have patience
I love you....
