Come Find Me
Emile Hayne Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I fall, I fall, deeper than never
I call, I call, baby come find me
I fall, I fall, deeper than never
I call, I call, baby come find me
Baby come find me,
Baby come find me,
Baby come find me,
Baby come find me,
Baby come find me,
Baby come find me...
Baby come find me,
Baby come find me,
Baby come find me,
Baby come find me...

Right here, baby come find me,
Right here, baby come find me.

Overall Meaning

In this song, the artist expresses their desire for someone to come and find them. They feel like they are falling deeper than ever before and need someone to help lift them up. The repetition of the phrase "I fall, I fall, deeper than never" reinforces this feeling of being lost and in need of rescue. By calling out to this person, the artist hopes that they will come and rescue them from this feeling of being lost and alone.

The use of the word "baby" throughout the song adds a sense of vulnerability and dependency, as if the artist needs this person to fill a void in their life. It creates an emotional connection between the artist and the listener that can deepen their understanding of the song. The repetition of the phrase "baby come find me" at the end of each verse creates a sense of urgency and longing, as if the artist is desperately waiting for this person to find them before it's too late.

Overall, the lyrics to Emile Hayne's song "Come Find Me" capture the emotions of someone who feels lost and alone, and in need of rescue from someone special.

At the centre of loneliness stands Michelle. Past actions spiral and bind her solitude. Perennial decisions anchored in the depths of her darkness that obscure her radiance.

Michelle, you took action based on what you thought was right, as did Conrad. May your soul be untethered. Know your actions and decisions were out of love.

This track is not only the strongest on the album, but the music represents an homage to a tragic event. The distinct and eerie vocals of Lykke Li, and the subtle harmonises of Romy in combination with the production is world class.

With that said, the track makes it to my ‘OMG INFJ Music’ playlist.

Thank you for the music, Emile.

After watching I Love You, Now Die this song just gives me chills. One of the most haunting intros to any visual medium I’ve seen 😥
