RAINDROPS KEEP FALLIN' ON MY HEAD
Emilie-Claire Barlow Lyrics

And just like the guy whose feet are too big for his bed
Nothin' seems to fit
Those raindrops are falling on my head, they keep falling
So I just did me some talkin' to the sun
And I said I didn't like the way he' got things done
Sleepin' on the job
But there's one thing I know
The blues he sends to meet me won't defeat me
It won't be long till happiness steps up to greet me
Raindrops keep falling on my head
But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turnin' red
Crying's not for me
Cause I'm never gonna stop the rain by complainin'
Because I'm free
Nothing's worrying me
The lyrics of Emilie-Claire Barlow's song Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head describe the feeling of being lost and out of place in a world that isn't always kind. The singer compares herself to the guy whose feet are too big for his bed; she feels like she doesn't belong where she is. The raindrops serve as a metaphor for the troubles and difficulties that come with life. No matter what the singer does, the raindrops keep falling on her head, representing the constant barrage of problems that she can't seem to avoid.
However, the singer refuses to let the rain get the best of her. She talks to the sun and complains about the way things are going in her life. She knows that the blues will come, but she doesn't let them defeat her. She has hope that happiness will come to greet her, that things will get better. The song ends on an optimistic note; the singer accepts that the rain will keep falling, but she won't let it get her down. She's free and nothing's worrying her.
In conclusion, Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head is a song about resilience and hope. Despite the troubles that life throws our way, we can still find happiness and freedom. We can't control the rain, but we can control how we react to it.
