Addressing an invisible entity that frightens the singer

Did you know sometimes it frightens me
Acknowledging that the entity's actions can be scary

When you say my name and I can't see you
Acknowledging that the entity calls out to the singer

Will you ever learn to materialize before you speak
Asking the entity to show itself before speaking

Impetuous boy, if that's what you really are
