Yeah Soul Intent, checking in
#1 baby this week
You know what I'm sayin'?
This is M.C. Proof

And DJ Head!

Checkin' in on W.E.G.O
You know what I'm sayin'?
Ay yo we got the #1
Requested song, of the day
Coming up next
It's a local 313 talent

He goes by the name of Eminem
And it's called, "It's OK"

Overall Meaning

The intro to Eminem's song G.O.A.T. is a throwback to his early days with the group Soul Intent. The voices of M.C. Proof and DJ Head can be heard checking in on the radio station W.E.G.O, where they announce the upcoming song "It's OK," by their fellow group member Eminem, who at the time was still an up-and-coming artist trying to breakout in the Detroit rap scene. The use of this intro can be seen as a nod to Eminem's humble beginnings, and also as a way to show his gratitude and respect for those who helped shape his career.

The lyrics also serve to set the tone for the rest of the song, which sees Eminem reflecting on his journey from a struggling artist to a superstar; as he raps about his past struggles and his determination to rise above them. The line "Greatest of all time, but I still feel underrated," is a testament to Eminem's confidence and belief in his own abilities, while also acknowledging that there are still people who doubt his talent.

Overall, the intro to G.O.A.T. serves as a reminder of Eminem's roots in the Detroit rap scene, and his unrelenting drive to prove himself as one of the greatest rappers of all time.

It's true tho, it feels like rappers feel awkward to admit that Eminem is the Best that ever did it.
You ask them top 5, they'll name everyone except Em like they don't wanna admit that a white rapper is the best rapper.
Any rapper old or new,... Eminem did things lyrically that other rappers couldn't match. Period.

@eddiebulan5634

100 percent true!!

@lasagnapapa

For real

@jiraiya7408

Yeah pal, he is the goat 🐐
Either someone admit or not ...

@nakinock5684

I mean, ok if you don’t like his music, but you have to acknowledge what he did and what he is currently doing

Bro all that matters is we know. The true fans. I’m 35 years old now and still bump Ems music to the fullest. Have bought every single album since marshal mathers LP. The truth comes to light eventually and rappers and anyone else in the industry will be forced to admit he is the best some point just because he will elevate himself so much higher than anyone else by the music and lyrical content he keeps putting out. Btw revival was a dope album so everyone that keeps saying it’s trash can suck my dick!!!! That record got me through some tough times. People have slept on revival, but I think music to be murdered by side B is his greatest work since the Eminem show or MMlp. What y’all think?
