On the road to Emmaus
Two disciples spoke of Christ
They mourned the death of Jesus
Who was their hope of new life

Jesus came and walked with them
They knew not His voice or face
I am sure they, then, wept when
He vanished without a trace

For it was then that they knew
They had walked and supped with Him
Looking back... they had known, too
For their hearts had burned within

I love this too. I think we can have our own walks and talks with the Savior. Sometimes, in quiet moments when I pray I feel him near. We can feel that sweet burn in heart of his love and friendship. He is the most important relationship in our lives.
I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is perfect, just, and so good. His love is the greatest gift.

My favorite thing about this story is that Christ shows these two people how much love he has for them by spending so much time with them. Service can seem onerous, but when we truly love those we serve, it becomes a joy. For both parties involved.

What a WONDERFUL experience of these deciples: To be chosen by Jesus Christ to talk, walk, and having Him at their house and eat with Him after his resurrection. Interesting observation of one of them said: 32 And they said one to another, DID NOT OUR HEART BURN WITHIN US, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures? THEY HAD THE SAME FEELING BY THE HOLLY GHOST.
Secrets of Heavens are in front of our eyes everyday, we just have to pay attention to see it.

There's a song sung in Spanish that speaks of this very incident called El Peregrino a Emmaus or calzada a Emmaus and it is very special to me. I was in a coma for 2 weeks and when I woke up I had this tune in my head but didn't recognize it. After a month, I got out of the hospital and when I was strong enough, my wife would take me to mass on Sundays. One Sunday as the church choir was singing a song, I turned to my wife and said," that's it!! That's the song that's been in my head and I couldn't get out"! I listened to The words and started balling like a baby , right then and there in the middle of everyone. I knew immediately what was, just like in the song a stranger comes to them and they don't recognize him until much later. I believe that angels came to me to sing but really, it was Jesus being with me even in my most darkest of days when death seemed like it was right around the corner or next surgery; it was Him trying to show me that everything would be ok and he has not left me!!

Then recognize what you can do for the benefit of us all (your cross) and go willingly into that hellish path, in which you would end up most likely broken. But don't let that discourage you because whoever takes that route willingly shall be resurrected. Push on, my brother in Christ!
