1) Emmi Kangasj… Read Full Bio ↴There is more than one artist sharing the name Emmi;
1) Emmi Kangasjärvi is a Finnish singer-songwriter who sings in English. She was born on October 10, 1979 in Vilppula, Finland. She became famous thanks to her single Breakable, which was released in February 2001. In May 2001 her second single Crashing Down and her debut album Solitary Motions were released. Two other quite well known songs from that album are Green Car and Solitary Motions. She was nominated as the Best Nordic Act by MTV Europe Music Awards in 2001. However, the award was won by the Danish band Safri Duo.
There are two versions of Emmi's second album No Nothing. The first one was released only for Finnish market in October 2002. The second one was released for international as well as Finnish market in early 2003. The differences between the versions are the order of songs and the fact that the second version contains two tracks that are not contained in the first version, namely Into The World and World Is Crazy. Conversely, the song Toss Me Down is contained in the first version but not in the second one.
The single Eileen was released in 2005. On October 5, 2005, Emmi's third album Can Full of Joy was released.
2) Emily Joy Green, known by her stage name Emmi, is a British-Australian singer and songwriter.
Emily Green was born in Torquay, Devon, England, the middle child of an older brother and a younger sister. The daughter of a pilot, she travelled extensively as a very young child, living in far flung places such as Papua New Guinea and Alice Springs. Moving school nine times before settling in Perth, Australia, Emmi got used to feeling like the outsider and began to focus on her love of dancing, and left home at the age of 16 to study dance full-time in Sydney.
Green began her musical career after being signed to a music publisher in Australia, writing songs for Neil Davidge of Massive Attack and Little Nikki.
Green cites classical music, jazz and Shirley Temple movies as her influences.

To another son of a gun I never knew
So it must be true
And the words roll out from a hundred mouths
And they come back 'round as the undisputed truth
I guess they got to you?
No right, you ain't got no right
I'm right, right here if you'd like
To get your facts right
If you really wanna know
You should come and talk to me
Take a little walk with me (yeah, yeah)
Come and take a shot with me, shot with me (yeah)
If you really wanna know
You should come and talk to me
Take a little walk with me (yeah, yeah)
Come and take a shot with me, shot with me (yeah)
If you really wanna know
It's a free country, so you're free to speak
And I'm not so weak but your shots still make me bleed
But no, don't mind me
Cause when you paint me black and you stab my back
Well you can't do that and expect to get a piece
You'll never get the best of me
No right, you ain't got no right
Till you got both sides of the story told
I'm right, right here if you'd like
To get your facts right
If you really wanna know
You should come and talk to me
Take a little walk with me (yeah, yeah)
Come and take a shot with me, shot with me (yeah)
If you really wanna know
You should come and talk to me
Take a little walk with me (yeah, yeah)
Come and take a shot with me, shot with me (yeah)
If you really wanna know
Maybe if we face to face
We'd find a meeting place
Somewhere in the space between and
Hey, we're not so unrelated
We'll find our saving grace
Somewhere in the space between us
No right, you ain't got no right
Til you heard my side of the story
You should come and talk to me, yeah
Take a little walk with me (take a little wa-yeah, yeah)
Come and take a shot with me, shot with me (yeah)
If you really wanna know
You should come and talk to me
Take a little walk with me (yeah, yeah)
Come and take a shot with me, shot with me (yeah)
If you really wanna know
The song Talk to Me by Emmi deals with the theme of rumors and misunderstandings. The first verse describes a situation where someone is getting Emmi wrong and spreading rumors about her to others. She addresses this person by saying "you ain't got no right 'til you got both sides of the story told," implying that they should have talked to her directly instead of believing hearsay. She invites the person to come and talk to her, walk with her, and take a shot with her if they want to get their facts straight.
In the second verse, Emmi acknowledges that people are free to speak their mind, but she still feels hurt by the negative things said about her. However, she asserts that these attacks will not break her, and that those who try to bring her down will never get the best of her. She again urges the person to come and talk to her, emphasizing that a face-to-face conversation might help bridge the gap between them.
The chorus of the song is catchy and emphasizes the importance of communication in resolving conflicts. Emmi repeats the invitation to talk, suggesting that it is the best way to get a complete understanding of the situation.
Overall, Talk to Me is a song that encourages people to communicate directly with each other in order to clear up misunderstandings and prevent rumors from spreading.
