Empathy Test Lyrics

It sucks my blood and leaves me to drown
In a lover’s bed I might rest my head
But don’t go thinking I’ve left you for dead.
The wind blows around these tired feet
That push me always down a one way street
You know I love you all I need is time
And I know that we, will always be friends
And I know that we, will always be friends
And I know that we, will always be friends
And I know that we, will always be friends
I wrote you a letter there’s no need to reply
I’ll be the one who always swallows his pride.
I believe in destiny, I believe in fate
I believe it’s never going to be too late
And I know that we, will always be friends
And I know that we, will always be friends
And I know that we, will always be friends
And I know that we, will always be friends
And I know that we, will always be friends
And I know that we, will always be friends
And I know that we, will always be friends
And I know that we, will always be friends
The song "Vampire Town" by Empathy Test is a powerful ballad that explores the feeling of being trapped in a place or situation that drains one's energy and leaves them feeling suffocated. The lyrics depict the struggle of the singer who is tired of being in a place that feels like a vampire town, which keeps sucking their blood and leaving them to drown. The idea of a vampire town here can be seen as a metaphor for a place that drains one's emotional and mental strength, leaving them feeling empty and lifeless. The singer finds temporary solace in the lover's bed, but assures the lover that they have not left them for dead.
The lyrics capture the feeling of being stuck in a one-way street where one feels lost, weighed down, and in need of a break. The singer is torn between their love for the lover and their need for space and time. They assure the lover that they will always remain friends but also believe in destiny and fate, indicating that their relationship may not be over, but they need a break to breathe and gain perspective.
Overall, "Vampire Town" is a poignant song that speaks to the universal experience of feeling stuck, suffocated, and drained in a particular place or situation. It also highlights the importance of taking time for oneself and believing in the power of fate.
