I don't understand how Empyr seem to have not meet a gigantic public. The song and concept of this video is ingenious and really pure art, I am shocked to see such a small number of views. I started to listen to this megaband in the beginning of 2019 if I remember correctly, I had already discovered Kyo in summer 2018 and had utterly fell in love with it. I always loved Benoît Poher's voice but I must say that I was made aware of the true performance capacity of his voice and how he is able to actually fit in so much variaty and so brilliantly while listening to Peaceful Riot. When I heard him do a sort of screamo for the first time in God is my Lover I was so surprised , "agréablement surprise " ! I was like "Wouah! Chapeau!"
I haven't listen to the entire discography of Empyr just yet but so far I see that it's definitely more "hard rock" -if i can say it like that (i'm no musical expert lol )than what I used to listen in Kyo. But I love both bands, I am sure looking forward to Kyo's next album. So excited about that. As for Empyr, well... at least I have a good numbers of songs to discover and enjoy, and that's how I'm in a dilemma sorta: You can't have both. 😂

Kinda wish Empyr stuck with the heavier direction they had on The Peaceful Riot, songs like Join Us were pretty damn fantastic. Never really got sold on the poppier direction they went down with Unicorn. Here's hoping that Empyr keeps going through the Kyo reunion so Kyo can be the poppy outlet and Empyr can be the heavy outlet.
