Sometimes at night I don't know why
Engelbert is bewildered about his feelings and thoughts that emerge at night.

He is struggling to find the appropriate way to convey his departure.

Saying goodbye seems difficult for Engelbert.

Next to the one whose heart I'd hate to have to break
He doesn't want to hurt her by revealing his actual feelings.

And I don't know how to say goodbye
He finds it challenging to bid a farewell.

Each time I hold her it's love all over
He feels immense love and affection for the lady.

I'll never learn how to live without her
Engelbert believes he can never lead a contented life without her.

She let me go with it meant happiness for me
He knows that she will release him to pursue personal happiness.

Maybe that's the reason why I find my tongue is tied
This could be the reason for his inability to speak up.

I love her so I wanna tell her now
Engelbert is in love with her and intends to reveal his love.

And I know she'll whisper in my ear a million reasons why
He is confident that she would give him numerous reasons to stay.

I don't know how to say goodbye
Engelbert still feels unable to say farewell.
