Sweetheart
Engelbert Humperdinck Lyrics
If your heart tells you so, that you should leave me
Don't try to forget, you and I never met
And before you fly, why can't you tell me why
You've forgotten all the words that you once said
Long as I've got you there beside me
Long as you're there to stand a guide me
The love we share, no one can ever tear apart
Long as I've got this life I'm living
Long as it's you, the love I'm with then
If my love for you can't make you happy
Just open the door and you won't see me anymore
And before you fly, why can't you tell me why
You've forgotten all the words that you once said
Long as I've got you there beside me
Long as you're there to stand a guide me
The love we share, no one can ever tear apart
Long as I've got this life I'm living
Long as it's you, the love I'm with then
I'll keep on callin' you sweetheart
I'll keep on callin' you sweetheart

@Gaitachi 32 That's what I always say: He is magic. I have adored this man and his voice since my teens. Been a fan club President. He really is a sweetheart. Soft-spoken, affectionate, kind. To look into those green eyes is to be forever lost.....

Magic. That's what Engelbert does. Magic to the heart. 💙

I saw this man in concert in 1984 and saw him 30 years later and he was perfection in both concerts. The comment "another great song written by the Bee Gees done by a magic voice" says it all!! Started listening to him in the early 70's and his CD The Man I Want to Be is fantastic.
