After the release of the 7" single "Unholy", his sister Silke (formerly known as Lilith) and his labelmate Janusz Zaremba joined the band. Both gave new accents to the band: Silke with her wonderful clear voice and Janusz with his extraordinary Polish vocal performances but he plays the guitar as well.
In 1993 the debut CD "Malleus Maleficarum" saw the light of day and the tracks "Kissed By God" and "Fallen Angel" hit the dancefloors across European clubs. With the release of the second album "Ignis Fatuus: Irrlichter" in 1994 ENGELSSTAUB crossed the frontiers between Gothic, Alternative and World music and the track "Victim Of Love" turned out to be a massive clubhit which it still is. Being a steady guest with that track on the playlists (club and radio) has brought the band a lot of fame and popularity. The band passed the time until the release of the new album "Anderswelt" (1999) with the release of the limited split-10" "In Amoris Mortisque" (together with ATARAXIA) in 1995 and with the CD-EP "Unholy" in 1997.
Apart from their regular releases, the band contributed to many compilations with often exclusive material. Most of the compilations aren.. to archiving of all world events and personal experiences - of all the thoughts and deeds that have ever taken place on the earth. These events are transcribed in the form of complex images composed of pictures, sounds, and other sensory stimuli.
So this CD is a musical document reflecting the past, present and (maybe) the future of the band ENGELSSTAUB. If the new tracks are for the future will remain an unanswered question but at least they show the musical potential and the flexibility of the band.
