Inutile canzone
Enrico Ruggeri Lyrics

che davanti si trovino solo gli ostacoli;
non riusciamo a capire la gioia degli attimi;
diventa una malattia
e passiamo giornate buttandoci via, via.
E allora ascolta questa inutile canzone
e portala con te;
Basta l'intenzione
e la familiarità
con le complessità che sono in noi;
li vuole soltanto lui;
e guardala andar via
come guardavi il treno alla stazione.
Fuori dal balcone
rimani ancora tu,
con tutti quei problemi che vorrai;
fatti domande e vivrai.
E allora ascolta questa inutile canzone
e guardala andar via;
domani cambierai destinazione.
Basta l'intenzione
e la familiarità
con le complessità che sono in noi;
se ti conosci vivrai,
se ti conosci vivrai
The lyrics of Enrico Ruggeri's song Inutile canzone speak to the human struggle of feeling overwhelmed and stuck in life. The opening lines express the feeling that everything is complicated and there seem to be only obstacles ahead. This feeling is so strong that it can become uncontrollable, and it seems that speaking up and asking for help does not make a difference. The second stanza talks about feeling like one is always late to the party, not understanding the joys of life, and rushing around in a frenzy, wasting precious moments that can never be regained.
The chorus comes in as a comforting reminder that listening to the song may feel useless, but it can help one find some solace and carry it forward. The lyrics suggest that having good intentions and being familiar with one's own complexities can go a long way in life. The next verse tells the listener that there are people who lose more often than others, but they still hold on to the bad times because it's their life, and they are the product of their own circumstances. The final stanza encourages self-reflection and the importance of curiosity in discovering one's own abilities and potential.
In summary, the song offers a message of hope and self-discovery in the face of overwhelming odds. It tells listeners to take a moment to reflect, find familiarity in themselves, and look toward the future with intentionality and a sense of curiosity.

Sometimes it seems like everything is getting complicated, we only see obstacles in front of us; we lose control, everything feels difficult, and no one listens to us.
We feel like we're always at the bottom, we can't enjoy the present moments; we get caught up in the rush, it becomes a disease, and we spend our days throwing ourselves away.
So listen to this useless song and take it with you; who said tomorrow has to be bad? All it takes is the intention and the familiarity to deal with the complexities within us; you will live if you know yourself.
Some people lose more times than Remus and Romulus, than a ski team led by a Somalian. But they only want the bad moments for themselves; this life is a product of what you are.
So listen to this useless song and watch it go away like you watched the train at the station. You'll still be there on the balcony, with all the problems you want; if you understand them, you will live.

Ask yourself what the truth is. Do you see that you are better than you think? And curiosity, that's the greatest wealth you have: ask yourself questions and you will live.

So listen to this useless song and watch it go away; tomorrow you'll change your destination. All it takes is the intention and the familiarity to deal with the complexities within us; you will live if you know yourself, you will live if you know yourself.
