Mi Pueblo
Enrique Guzman & Cesar Costa Lyrics

Yay ay ay ay ay ay ay ay yaya
Oh, que alegría
la que sentia!
Con todo el pueblo
feliz reía!
Y asi la musica siguió y siguió
toda la noche hasta que amaneció.
Con gran dolor en mi corazón
me despedí con esta canción
que dice así:
Yay ay ay ay ay ay ay ay yaya

The lyrics of "Mi Pueblo" by Enrique Guzman and Cesar Costa narrate a heartfelt journey back to one's hometown in search of love and belonging. The singer sets out on a solo trip with the hope of discovering if their love interest reciprocates the same feelings they have. However, upon arriving at the village where they were born, a sense of overwhelming joy and contentment washes over them. The familiarity and nostalgia of their hometown immediately make them feel happy and at peace, emphasizing the deep connection they have with their roots and identity.
As the singer explores their pueblo, they are met with curious gazes from the locals, but instead of feeling out of place, they embrace their surroundings and begin to sing. The natural sounds of birds chirping and the sun shining create a serene backdrop, adding to the enchanting atmosphere of the moment. The lyrics describe the joy and happiness felt by the singer in being reunited with their hometown, where music seems to flow effortlessly and the community comes together in celebration and unity.
The sense of joy and celebration continues as the music plays on throughout the night, enveloping the singer in a whirlwind of emotions. The lyrics convey a bittersweet sentiment as the night turns into day, and the singer must bid farewell to their cherished pueblo. Despite the pain in their heart at having to leave, the singer expresses their gratitude and love for the town through a heartfelt song, leaving behind memories and a piece of their soul embedded in the music. The repetition of the joyful chorus reflects the lasting impact that their hometown and its people have had on their spirit and sense of belonging.
In the end, the singer's departure is marked by a poignant moment of reflection and gratitude for the time spent in their pueblo. The fading echoes of the song capture the essence of love, connection, and nostalgia that define the singer's experience. "Mi Pueblo" encapsulates a story of self-discovery, love, and the profound bond between an individual and their roots, resonating with listeners who appreciate the beauty of returning to one's origins and finding solace in the familiar embrace of home.

Cuando yo tenía cinco años estaba enamorada de la voz de César Costa, no lo conocía porque yo no tenía televisión solo radio y cantaba con mucha emoción La historia de Tommy. Recuerdo que mi papá se reía de ver a su hijita cantar.
