Our elusive remedy
Tip toe through the fire
Never come down
'Til we all fall down
Let's get back to where we're from
Brighter days are healthier
Back to Avalon
Somewhere there's a garden
Our mistaken fantasy
Everything's forgotten
Never come down
'Til we all fall down
Let's get back to where we're from
Brighter days are healthier
Can we come back from where we've gone, gone
Back to Avalon
Back to Avalon
We're chasing footsteps where we begun
They take us back to, back to Avalon
We're chasing footsteps where we begun
They take us back to, back to Avalon
Back to Avalon
The lyrics of the song "Avalon" by Equador are a journey towards a utopian land, one that is peaceful and free of all worries. The first verse of the song talks about a land which is a solution to all our problems, something that we are all searching for in our lives. The island referred to in the opening lines is symbolic of this utopian paradise and is the cure to all our worries.
As the song progresses, the lyrics of the second verse talk about how we can find our way back to this paradise. The idea is that we need to go back to where we're from, where we started our journey in order to find our way back to a brighter and healthier future. The reference to the garden and the forgotten memories is symbolic of our journey back to the beginning, to a place where we were most innocent and free.
The chorus of the song repeatedly mentions the word "Avalon", which is a reference to the Celtic mythological paradise that represents the "land of apple trees" and is sometimes referred to as a place where one goes after death. The overall message of the song is to find a way back to this paradise, whether it is physical or metaphorical, in order to escape the difficulties of our daily lives.
