Eric's Trip Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I live with things on stupid rhymes
I saw the angles near the sky
Think about you all the time
I'm trapped within this useless rhyme
I saw the fire in your try
Kissing me sweet
Bliss my eyes
Bliss my eyes
My eyes
Eyes
I can't be what I need
Kissing me sweet
Bliss my eyes
Bliss my eyes
My eyes
The lyrics of Eric's Trip's song "Haze" express the singer's fixation on someone they are unable to be with. The repetition of "I dream about it, all the time" and "Think about you all the time" emphasize their preoccupation with this person, with their thoughts overtaking their actions. The lines "I'm trapped within this useless rhyme" and "I saw the fire in your try" suggest that the singer is feeling stuck and unable to express themselves fully. The verses conclude with the repeated refrain "Bliss my eyes," implying that being with this person would bring them intense happiness and fulfillment.
The chorus of "Haze" further emphasizes the singer's yearning and frustration. They acknowledge that they "can't be what I need" and that this person's affection is like a drug ("Kissing me sweet"). The repetition of "Bliss my eyes" implies that they are still fixated on the possibility of being with this person, despite acknowledging the limitations of the situation. The final line, "My eyes," suggests that their fixation is all-consuming and deeply personal.
