Double Trouble
Eric Clapton Lyrics

Lay awake at night,
Oh so low, just so troubled.
Can't get a job,
Laid off and I'm having double trouble.

Hey hey, to make you've got to try.
Baby, that's no lie.
Some of this generation is millionaires,
I can't even keep decent clothes to wear.

Laugh at me walking,
And I have no place to go.
Bad luck and trouble has taken me
I have no money to show.

Great version from the double cd "JUst One Night" recorded at the Budokan square in Tokyo in 1979..I was there..a great concert adding Albert Lee the guitar picking master.

Darrell Brock

That ain't no lie!

This is one of Clapton's best performances ever! Great guitar playing and singing from Eric in this version. This simply blows away any of the commercial pop/rock hits he is famous for. THIS is the kind of stuff Clapton should stick with more often.
