Got to Get Better in a Little While
Eric Clapton Lyrics

Don't you know what's wrong with me?
I'm seeing things I don't want to see.
Sniffing things that ain't no good for me.
I'm going down fast, won't you say a prayer for me?

[Chorus:]
It's got to get better in a little while.
It's got to get better in a little while.
It's got to get better in a little while.
It's got to get better in a little while.

The sun's got to shine on my guitar someday.
Revolution all across the land.
Just like Sly, you got to take a stand.
Please don't hurt nobody, don't knock them down;
Give them a helping hand to get off the ground.

[Chorus]

Still one thing that you can do;
Fall down on your knees and pray.
I know the Lord's gonna answer you.
Don't do it tomorrow, do it today.

[Chorus]

1Juemadre:
that song..was the first Reggae hit in the USA he asked Bob Marley if he could record it first.
and
IT HIT NUMBER ONE.
SO.. it was not the sexiest but it has greater EC versions now. And so does Bob.
But at that time it
it took a big star to introduce reggae and get heard.
If i find my fav version I will give u the title later for ya. links get erased sometimes.
.. Try "Eric Clapton, Live in Hyde Park".. 3+ million like it. me too. 1997 or 98.
look for the same , "Live in Hyde Park" -title ..
1997 or 8.. 3 million -plus Is IT!
Its a pretty loaded concert. upbeat. In my old age I replay certain albums. yes we all know many but this one is an allanswering gem for me anyway.
often played once a week or-- repeat !
It kind of has a call ( that comes to me to play it) and- repeat! kinda like how the blues started. back in the killin fields one sang out a call and another answered. as u probably know.
blues sure do speak to our souls and hearts. not all boo-hoo at all. its more like-seldom 'boo-hoo'.
Cheers blues lover..!
I got the fever too
especially live..sometimes, when possible.. or against all odds.. a road trip!
Chicago misses a few. me too.
