Torture
Eric Krasno Lyrics

I keep, I keep...
Torture
Now everything must go
Torture
Now everything must go
Oh lord, help me...
I keep, knocking the door.
But I can't, I can't be wrong, no.
Torture
Oh don't you know
Torture
Now everything must go
Oh, Lord, take me from this torture.
I feel it deep inside me.
I can't see another thing that constantly reminds me.
Oh no, oh no, oh no.
Torture, torture.
Oh don't you know.
Torture.
Now everything must go, oh no.
Now everything must go.
The lyrics of Eric Krasno's song "Torture" convey a sense of desperation and anguish as the singer tries to get over a relationship that has turned sour. The repeated pleading to the Lord for help suggests a kind of spiritual or moral agony, as if the singer is torn between his desire to let go of his ex-lover and his inability to do so. The metaphor of torture implies a degree of mental and emotional suffering that is almost unbearable, as if the singer is being punished for his mistakes or inability to move on. The lines "I keep knocking the door" and "I can't be wrong, no" suggest a pattern of behavior that has become obsessive and compulsive, as if the singer is unable to control his impulses and is constantly seeking some kind of resolution or closure.
The chorus "Now everything must go" reinforces this idea of letting go and moving on, as if the singer is realizing that there is nothing left to salvage in this relationship and that he needs to start afresh. The use of the phrase "Oh Lord" also suggests a kind of resignation or surrender to a higher power, as if the singer is seeking guidance or solace from a divine source. The repetition of the word "torture" adds to the sense of claustrophobia and desperation, as if the singer is trapped in a cycle of pain and unable to find a way out.
