Apologize
Eric and Todd Dammann Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I've never met someone so pure and so divine
And I hate that I ever got on your bad side
All I wanted to be was the source of your peace
But lately all I can be is the source of your unease
I know I made some mistakes
Don't let them run you away
I need you here to stay
Forgive the choices I made
I know I made some mistakes
Don't let them run you away
I need you here to stay
Forgive the choices I made
All the times I got it wrong
I apologize
All the times we got along
I need you in my life
All the times I got it wrong
I apologize
All the times we got along
I need you in my life
My life won't be right
Until I'm side to side
With thee, I need thee
Come save me, please baby
Had the man of my dreams
He gave me everything I need
I can't just watch him leave
I had the man of my dreams
All the times I got it wrong
I apologize
All the times we got along
I apologize

I've never met someone so pure and so divine
And I hate that I ever got on your bad side

People also talk loud when they are TOLD to talk loud, and given examples to emulate.

Isaiah 40:9
O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!

Isaiah 58:1
Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.

Acts 2:14
But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

There are more, but I doubt you cared enough to read these three.

As a Christian this video disturbs me. The Father is a control freak and the poor boy just wants to please his Dad. Sad.

As someone who grew up with Christian parents, it disturbs me too. I’m Christian but I used to be like this bc of my mom :/ (she’s so insanely religious she threatened to take all my stuff away just bc I wasn’t reading my Bible enough...)

@TerryFGM

nice allegory for christianity lmao

@kennethmaye

I totally agree with you.

True cause God calls and IDK if God actually called the boy to preach but may have another plan to be a missionary or just a prayer warrior or just witness you know God may not want him to be a preacher. Now I'm not saying God doesn't call that early bc he's God he can and he has before. But you gotta be saved to be called also you know you need to believe in Jesus and love and follow him, and he'll show you want he wants to use you for in life, and he's worthy of the love and glory we can give him. We don't even deserve to speak of him yet even be saved cause he's so holy and we're all so wicked and that's truth even from the Bible, and God is loving but also judging and hating I mean he hated Cain he hated Lucifer/the devil for falling from heaven after being the choir leader and getting prideful saying he'd be better than God (pride is a sin), but for real it's sad.
