Souvenirs
Etherwood feat. Zara Kershaw Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
A package by the door
A souvenir for those who find it
Our eyes searching for more
Could it be a home?
Busy streets
But never need the signs
That made us whole
To help us pass the time
Weโฒll run until it all falls down
And never count the years
One day I'll bring you something more
Than just these souvenirs
Carry me now
Over mountains, over sea
We can run or ride
We can run a mile
With lights flashing by me
Oh weโฒll never count the years
Bring you more than just these souvenirs
Oh we'll never count the years
Bring you more than just these souvenirs
The song Souvenirs by Etherwood feat. Zara Kershaw talks about leaving everything behind to search for something more, something meaningful. It begins with the idea of leaving behind a package, a souvenir, for those who will find it. The lyrics then move to the search for a home, a place to call their own where they don't need signs to find their way. They desire to find something that will make them feel whole and help them pass the time.
The chorus expresses the idea of running away from everything without ever looking back, never counting the years, as they search for something more. They want to explore the world, ride over mountains and seas, and run miles with lights flashing by them. The idea of giving more than just souvenirs is expressed, as they promise to return with something more meaningful.
Overall, the song Souvenirs is a beautiful expression of the desire to leave everything behind and search for something more meaningful. It talks about finding a place to call home, exploring the world, and promising to bring back something more than just souvenirs.

I am so stoked to have been included in this video... Even better as I feature during the initial 'drop' at 0:45
(I'm the one skating in from the left).
Proper quality tune too, very proud to have been involved.
@SuperGraphicsHD
James Frazer where was this shot mate?
@PokerMuppet
SuperGraphicsHD My scene and certainly the majority of the park scenes were shot in Victoria Park in East London. I just happened to be skating around on the day and was asked very nicely to take part so I am not sure about the rest of the video but it looks like it features Hoxton, Hackney, London Fields and the area around the Gherkin office tower in the City.
