I KNOW! It feels like a complete different era. ESC seemed to be at an all-time low in Germany and suddenly became so popular due to Lena. EVERYONE was following her win in 2010 and the event in 2011. But they did so well to completely ruin it again in the last years.

@@ufuksnmez98 Actually, Turkey's song was my favorite in 2010 and Germany's was for me on the 12th place because there were much stronger entries, some of them were eliminated in the Semi Final's, but Germany did something in the marketing for the contest in 2010, something that is missing nowadays because we don't give any effort on selecting our entries. And even if I think that our song in 2009 was one of our better entries in the 2000s, this is just average. And you can't save an average entry with an amazing show. You see it for three minutes and you'll forget it.

What I really like about this is not necessarily the stripper but it's the fact that Germany really put on a show. Dancers, pyro and stuff. I think that's what we're lacking the last years. We're sending good songs and strong singers but we don't care about the visualization. People vote with their ears AND with their eyes. Lena and Roman Lob have shown that you don't need a spectacular show. But since our performances have been modest and small for the last couple of years, I think it's time for some great show again.

I actually loved this! I can think the only reason it didn’t do well is probably because Germany went for a staging that’s too rich and maybe it was just too ahead of it’s time.
