DuPell's new album Face to Face incorporates new sounds and feelings that he had never touched over before. DuPell was inspired by the piano to create a more sophisticated bunch of songs musically and lyrically for Face to Face. With solid rhythms, piano ballads, well thought out lyrics, strong production and electric guitars in the mix, Face to Face has become one of his most ambitious albums yet.
The multi-instrumentalist DuPell has become known for playing, producing and writing all the songs himself.
His 2018 album Sweet Cherry explored a more retro, alternative indie side that focused on life, death, and experience. This album when released gained traction and attention quickly with popular tracks like Sweet Cherry, Without A Doubt, Greed, Open Window and Player. The album was recorded at The Village Recorder, the first of his albums to be recorded in a studio.
Evan DuPell first emerged as a singer/songwriter when he released the album Stand By in 2017. The album was a collection of tracks he had made throughout the years after moving to Los Angeles. This compilation album was recorded at his home with a handful of microphones that gave the album an intimate live feel.”
