They played melodic, but relatively slow doom metal with female vocals. Enjoyable music for the more romantic-minded doom fan and those of us who like their doom with a little bit more melody.
The female vocals are "normal", ensuring a more rocky feeling to the music than, for example, found in gothic metal bands.

The lyrics of Even Vast's song Breakaway seem to be about the struggle of dealing with a toxic relationship. The first two lines talk about the singer being trapped in a feeling of weakness and, at the same time, feeling surprised about experiencing that kind of emotion. It appears that this person has learned to let their partner know of their troubles, but they know that this will lead them to hurting again, possibly worse than before.
