From finding a distinct like in the heavier side of rock Evenblue was formed in 1998 by brothers Scott & Tim.
The Band started out playing around Tamworth and Nuneaton, doing the rounds, then stretching out further a field playing larger more prestigious venues, but still staying pretty much based in the midlands. Changing drummers only once, as Paz (Matt Parish)was the 3rd member of the Blue for the majority of this time. Over the years we have continued to write and have always been drawn to the allure of the big riffs. What gives Even Blue some diversity is the different writing styles, one very much quirky disjointed, contradictory against a intricate precise big song style, this always keeps things fresh. Over the last three years we have been away from the scraping unsigned meat market and have been concentrating on recording and producing our own stuff. We finally hope to hear our songs like they have always sounded in our heads. So far its looking good.
I am beautifully raw
and brutally honest
I am Iron clad
and Heavier than my troubles
i am a soldier and a painter
i feed my children
on their melodic swing
with a quirky bent finger to the world
i am a machine
that will whisper in your ear
before i grind your bones
into the dirt.
i am full of regrets
full of love and hate
full of dreams
my temper can speak
my heart can roar.
i am
i am mine.

Captain’s Quarters
Awesome! Okay, so we can use our teak booms with aluminum masts? Can we use our wood spreaders with aluminum masts too?
SVDreamChaser
@Sailing Nauti Ohana - Yes you can. We are going to use our Teak booms. The thing you have to be cautious of is the attach points. Ours is possibly a cast bronze component that was screwed onto the mast. That would be a NoNo, Bronze and Aluminum don't like each other. BUT there are 2 options we have been talking about with the yard. One is to use an aluminum piece of track that is the same size (And we have laying around) or the other is to make a new attach point out of Stainless or another material that would behave well with Aluminum.
SVDreamChaser
It is also the same answer with the spreaders. I took some video of ours and will post it later or send it to you, but our wooden spreaders (for the mizzen are just there to hold the lights, they actually don't have any structural capacity and the stays don't even attach to them like you would see on your main) So for those, I am going to make 2 new ones. They have a small stainless attach point that I will connect to the new spreaders when I make them. This is harder to explain in text, I will post a video about it in the upcoming weeks as I make them. I just pulled one of the spreaders off yesterday to take back and start to make new ones.

Pretty sure wood spreaders were stock 40 years ago when aluminium mast came out. There is a cal 40 refit here on utube with exactly that. Its on the great old boats channel. Hope that helps
SVDreamChaser
I took some video of the spreader connection points tonight and will send to you Jay/Nikki.
Captain’s Quarters
SVDreamChaser thank you!!

Think the greenish is a microlight and high dense filler, for more aggressive work needed??? Maybe
SVDreamChaser
TheMogjo oh maybe. I didn’t know there was a difference.
Capt’n Thracian
Why you didn't remove canvas, when they spraying that pain will go on canvas
SVDreamChaser
Peck Filipovic good point. I didn’t think about it but that would have made sense. I went by and checked tonight and don’t see any on there luckily.
