Larger scale success came when they signed with indie label Blackbird who funded the recording of the 'Super Natural' album, and whose uplift venture with Sire/London eventually provided the radio and distribution muscle that got the breaking single "Hooch" to radio stations around the world. Their peak of popularity came in 1998, when "Hooch" (from the 'Super Natural' album) was featured in Adam Sandler's hit movie The Waterboy. From 1998 to 2000, it charted in the top 10 on Billboard's Pop and Hot AC charts, as well as top 20 on the Modern Rock charts. The band enjoyed their 'new-found' popularity, playing radio shows and festival crowds around the country. "Hooch" has been heard in "My Name is Earl", "Yes Dear", and "Clueless", and also was featured on the Scrubs Vol. 1 Soundtrack.
Following the AOL/Time Warner merger, and the subsequent dissolution of all joint ventures under the Warner Music Group umbrella, the band was independent once again, and they released People Are Moving in a co-distribution deal with What Are Records in 2001. The band toured internationally in Japan and Korea, before finally deciding to take a hiatus. They rejoined in their studio for 2 days in 2004 to record the tracks that would become 2006's 'In the Juju Underworld'.

Hooch
Everything Lyrics

Who got the hooch
Who got the only sweetest thing in the world
The working day was long
And the road is grinding on
And your body's winding down again
The tribal fire's here
And the simple truth so very much clearer
Who got the hooch, baby
Who got the only sweetest thing in the world
Who got the love, who got the fresh-e-freshy
Who got the only sweetest thing in the world
The birds and bees will sing
The jams begin to ring
The good vibes flow from me to you
The evening turns to night
The fire and moonlight
The dance of all who came before
Who got the hooch, baby
Who got the only sweetest thing in the world
Who got the love, who got the fresh-e-freshy
Who got the only sweetest thing in the world
Let's get real, let's get heavy
Till the water breaks the levee
Let's get loose, loose, who got the hooch
The song "Hooch" by Everything is an uplifting and infectious celebration of life, love, and camaraderie. The lyrics describe a group of people coming together around a tribal fire in the midst of the working day, finding solace and enjoyment in each other's company, and sharing a sweet and potent concoction known as hooch. The infectious refrain repeats throughout the song, asking who has the hooch, the only sweetest thing in the world, along with the love and fresh-e-freshy energy that brings people together.
The first verse sets the scene for the song's celebration of camaraderie and escape from the daily grind. The hard work and endless road that grind the singer down fade away in the glow of the tribal fire and the simple truth that becomes clear in the company of others. The second verse takes a more poetic turn, weaving together the natural world with the joyous energy of the gathering. The birds and bees sing along with the jams, good vibes flow from one person to another, and the dance goes on in the light of the fire and the moon.
The final verse picks up the pace and amps up the intensity, urging everyone to get real, get heavy and let loose. The water breaking the levee is a powerful metaphor for the release of pent-up energy and the unstoppable force of collective joy. The repeated call for someone to have the hooch is a catchy refrain that draws the listener into the song's infectious energy and communal spirit.
