Just like empathy, narcissists are also void of any sense of obligation. Their sense of entitlement completely voids any opportunity for obligation to fit in. Yet, the narcissist will absolutely use their target’s sense of obligation - to keep the target locked into the toxic relationship. People need to learn these twisted tactics, and stop allowing these narcs to play their sick game.

My husband would mess with my mind so much I'd think to myself "I can't believe I lived my whole life not knowing how horrible I am." But I see now that yes I lived my whole life and never was horrible person to my friend or family till I met this person that convinced me that I was mess so he could control and manipulate me.

My narcissistic partner was using money to control me. Im a single mom living paycheck to paycheck and he used my weakest area to keep me under his control ..but then picked a fight and took away his financial help as punishment and it left me in a really bad place financially and emotionally…he loves to punish me😥

My Narc would say I didn't have to worry about money, then make me feel like a burden ans discard me because I wasn't doing enough for 'us' financially. I had my own place to look after and a family. I think he was jealous.

Did you ever have periods of time where you were not playing any narc games where you were not triggered ?? Or were you always playing narc control games ? Is it a non stop thing or do you do this within periods of time ??

If I leave I will be homeless, on the street, or in a shelter, I feel stuck, and powerless. My husband is not just mentally and emotionally abusive,l he is also physically abusive. The last time he hit me, I had him put in jail, after a year of anger management classes court ordered, we was sperated for 4 months. I was in a battered woman shelter. I have no family living, to help me. He made a 1000 promises, I went back. I knew within 3 days I had made a mistake, I've been stuck sense then. He hasn't hit me, but he has bumped up the mental and emotional abuse. I'm planning my escape, but it's going to take months.

I think he's kinda presenting from his wife/mistresses' perspective as the targets of HIS abuse... He usually generalises - 'he/she/they' - but he was feeling/owning his personal role as abuser on this one
