It's You Again
Exile Lyrics

Walkin' through my mind again
In my dreams it never ends
It's always you again
They say all good things must come to an end
Nothin's forever, so they say
But it looks like they left one question unanswered
It's you again
Walkin' through my mind again
Takin' all my time again
You just won't let go
It's you again
Always you I'm seein'
In my dreams it never ends
It's always you again
Time after time, I've tried somebody new
Still there's this emptiness inside
I can't find a way to get over losing you
My heart won't let go those memories you left behind
It's you again
Walkin' through my mind again
Takin' all my time again
You just won't let go
It's you again
Always you I'm seein'
In my dreams it never ends
It's always you again
It's you again
You just won't let go
It's you again
Always you again
The lyrics to Exile's "It's You Again" suggest that the singer cannot get over their past love. Even though they have tried to move on and find someone new, they cannot forget their former partner who haunts their memories and dreams. The lyrics express the pain of heartbreak and the struggle to let go of someone who has left a profound impact on one's life. The line "How can you go and yet still remain?" suggests that the memories and feelings of the former partner are too strong to be forgotten even after they have left.
At the heart of the song is a sense of longing and the inability to move on. The singer is caught between the past and present, unable to let go of what once was and unable to fully embrace a new future. The repetition of "It's you again" reinforces the idea that the former lover is a constant presence in the singer's life, no matter how much they try to move on. The song is a reflection on the powerful hold that love and memories can have on a person, even after the relationship has ended.
