Fell in love with you
You wandered through my dreams
And you stole away my blues
All of a sudden a brand new feelin'
Opened up inside
And I don't know whether to jump through the roof
Or break right down and cry
Woke up in love with you
Oh, what a beautiful day
Am I still dreaming
Is it supposed to feel this way
Running around with a foolish grin
Painted all over my face
Woke up in love with you
Oh, what a beautiful day
I used to run around
In no particular direction
I ran across a lot of pretty women
But I couldn't make a connection
Last night when you held me tight
You turned my life around
And I opened up my eyes this morning
I said, "Look what I found"
Woke up in love with you
Oh, what a beautiful day
Am I still dreaming
Is it supposed to feel this way
Running around with a foolish grin
Painted all over my face
I woke up in love with you
Oh, what a beautiful day
Woke up in love with you
Oh, what a beautiful day
Am I still dreaming
Is it supposed to feel this way
Running around with a foolish grin
Painted all over my face
I woke up in love with you
Oh, what a beautiful
I woke up in love with you
Oh, what a beautiful day
Am I still dreaming
Is it supposed to feel this way
Running around with a foolish grin
Painted all over my face
Woke up in love with you
Oh, what a beautiful day
The lyrics to Exile's song "Woke Up In Love" describe the experience of falling in love suddenly and unexpectedly. The singer describes how they fell in love with someone they had just met, perhaps in a dream or in passing, and how this new feeling has changed their outlook on life. The lyrics convey a sense of joy and wonder at this new experience, but also a feeling of confusion and uncertainty as the singer tries to come to terms with their feelings.
The song's first verse sets the scene for this sudden experience of love, with the singer describing how they met the object of their affections in the night and how they stole away their blues. The second verse contrasts this experience with the singer's previous life, where they had been directionless and unable to connect with others. The chorus repeats the central theme of the song, with the singer expressing their happiness at waking up in love and wondering if it's all a dream.
Overall, the lyrics to "Woke Up In Love" convey a sense of innocence and wonder at the experience of falling in love for the first time. The song captures the excitement and uncertainty of this experience and celebrates the transformative power of love.
