I'll Never Get Over You Getting Over Me
Exposé Lyrics
I hear you're taking the town again
Havin' a good time with all your good-time friends
I don't think that you think of me
You're on your own now, and I'm alone and free
I know that I should get on with my life
But a life lived without you could never be right
As long as the stars shine down from the heavens
Long as the rivers run to the sea
I try to smile so the hurt won't show
Tell everybody that I was glad to see you go
But the tears just won't go away (won't go away)
Loneliness found me, looks like it's here to stay
I know that I oughta find someone new
But all I find is myself always thinking of you
As long as the stars shine down from the heavens
Long as the rivers run to the sea
I'll never get over you getting over me
Oh, no matter what I do
Each night's a lifetime to live through
I can't go on like this
I need your touch
And you're the only one I've ever loved
Oh
And as long as the stars shine down from the heavens
Long as the rivers run to the sea
I'll never get over you getting over me
I'll never get over you getting over
Never get over you getting over
I'll never get over you getting over me

Those of us that grew up in the 80's & 90's don't know how lucky we were...there will never be an era of music, that comes even close...quality of music, as well as life in general, has been on a decline ever since..80's, 90's will never be forgotten!! Greatest music, most talented musicians of all time

I was a teenager back in the 1990s and the music of the 1990s was magical, music's greatest decade.

@mangardain 80's generally speaking, crime was bad in the inner cities and wherever there was high populations of black and Mexicans. Now, crime is bad everywhere due the groups known for crime have spread out to every single part of the country. Import third world, become third world. And we've been importing third world for atleast since the first slave ships arrived from Africa.

I lost the love of my life 38 years ago because of my selfishness , the hardest part is knowing she got over me and to this day I’ve never really gotten over her , this song hits home for me every time I hear it .

Does your wife know about this?

Aw man, I feel for you. This year will mark 3 years since I lost the love of my life. She has long since moved on and wants nothing to do with me anymore, yet I still find myself thinking about her just about every day. Although it's only been 3 years, I worry that I may never get over her.
