The band was created in 1987 and is regarded as one of the most influential bands of the Spanish hard rock scene, besides being a complete symbol for their region. Iniesta's lyrics are often described as rude street poetry, with frequent allusions to drugs, love and self-destruction.
The band's name is a pun. Literally, Extremoduro means "hard extreme", and is also a straight-forward deformation of "Extremadura", the region where the band comes from.
Well-known songs by Extremoduro include "So payaso", "Golfa", "Salir", "Extremaydura", "Puta" and "Jesucristo García". The highest moment in the band's career was probably reached with the release of their album Agíla, which was awarded a prize for best video in the first edition of the Spanish Music Adwards in 1996.

The lyrics to Extremoduro's song Hoy te la meto hasta las orejas depict a man's infatuation with a woman and his desire to express his feelings for her. The song begins with the singer dreaming about the woman's smile and wanting to be the wind that caresses her hair. He then contemplates telling her that life is in her mouth, but he stops short when he catches a whiff of her scent.
The singer continues to observe the woman, who is named Julieta, from a distance as she watches her lover climb up to her balcony. He wants to tell her that the moon shines brighter when she's around but decides against it and remains rooted in reality. The song then transitions into a chorus where the singer boldly proclaims his desire to have sex with Julieta in various ways, even up to her ears and heart, using only his eyebrows and her saying the word "heat."
The second verse changes the tone of the song as the singer begins to plan how to win Julieta's heart. He calculates every word he will say but lacks the courage to go through with it. The song ends with the singer- still watching Julieta- wishing that they could sync their heartbeats to bring them closer together but acknowledging that he will never be able to cross the temptation.
