Never Want To Be Apart
Eyedress Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Want to be apart
Want to be apart
I'm not gonna break your heart
Want to be together
Want to make it better
Just wanna be in love
And never break your heart
Girl, can we just stay together?
Practice lust forever
Practice what you love
If I ever tear your love
It's because I'm scared of losing,
Scared of losing you
I'm not tryna break us up
I'm delicate enough
I wanna be with you
I never want to be apart
Just wanna be in love and never break your heart
Girl, can we just stay together?
Practice lust forever
Practice what you love
The lyrics to Eyedress's song Never Want to Be Apart convey a strong desire for love and lasting commitment. The repetition of the phrase "I never want to be apart" emphasizes the deep longing for a real connection that will stand the test of time. The singer also reassures their partner that they will not break their heart, and that they want to continually work towards making their relationship better. The line "practice lust forever" may seem to suggest a shallow viewpoint of love, but it could also be interpreted as a desire to maintain the intense passion and attraction that initially brought the couple together.
The second verse reveals the singer's vulnerability, as they admit to being afraid of losing their partner's love. The line "If I ever tear your love" conveys a sense of fragility in the relationship, and the singer's fear of causing irreparable damage. They emphasize that they are not trying to end the relationship, and that they want to be delicate and gentle in their approach. The song closes with a reiteration of the initial desire to stay together and practice love and passion.
