II
Fōr Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Fōr's song II tell the story of a man who finds himself on a ship that is doomed to sink with billions of gallons of water on board. Some people thought he was crazy for not giving up, but to him, it was all about guts. He decided to go full speed ahead to destinations unknown, and as the excitement began, he opened up his eyes to a whole new world.

He found himself on an island, living off the land and building himself a hemp shack in case of attack, which was fully equipped with a killer eight-track. He even had a chimp named Chong and busted rhymes at night on his turtle shell guitar, feeling like an island rockstar. However, one day, the pirates came and burned everything, taking his island friends away and promising to make them slaves by the end of the day.

He had to think quick and decided to sneak onto the pirate ship in the dead of night, overtake the guard, grab all the guns, and pocket some of the ammunition. He ran through the jungle, came across a medicine man who had spoken to the animals and insects, and together they marched back to the pirate ship at the brink of dawn. They freed the slaves, played for days, and now they're here to stay as rocking island rockstars.

Overall, the lyrics are a tale of resilience, determination, and the courage to keep going in the face of adversity. It shows that even in the bleakest of situations, there is always a way out if you're willing to be resourceful, take risks, and believe in yourself.
