As I see it: the day Adam joined the band, they probably decided to get somewhat higher in terms of popularity and financial gain. This genre is pretty niche, perhaps half of the band agreed on some changes, the other half wanted to continue compose their stuff the way they've been doing for years.
It's just a thought. I know Adam is a great musician (his vocal range is pretty unique), but to me he’s still an apple of discord. I can’t help it but to think he’s been extremely divisive.

So far I liked SHADOWS, a lot actually, but it’s definitely not their wholesome form, they’ve gone deeply into hardcore, whereas being in FACT that wasn’t their main route.

+shadowback Interesting. I know people say that Adam might've been the reason for creative tension beginning, but I really don't think Witness was that much of a departure for them. Sure, it is different, but it still retains the FACT sound that they always had through previous style changes. And then KTHEAT came out, which shows that they didn't give a fuck about becoming more commercial or anything. I really can't come to a conclusion on why they broke up.

However, I am thankful that Adam was a part of FACT, not only because I like most of his contributions musically, but also because he translated all the lyrics properly, making the band a whole lot more accessible (and meaningful) to western fans.

This is simply a fantastic song. I don't think singing in English was the best option though. Japanese that don't speak English don't understand what he's saying, and most English speakers don't understand what he's saying. I know a lot of Japanese singers implement English lyrics into their songs, but not the entire song. Albeit this, I still think he's a good singer, and the guitarist is a good screamer too.

circa survive is really really really hard to sing and the vocalist is very talented, i don't really like them but they are far from really mainstream and i wouldn't call them poppy, more of emo, but emo as in the music type so not emo in a negative way

wow, intense. well, where to start? a lot of this song (primarily the first minute or so) reminds me of john petrucci, opening riff sounding like dream theater, the riff that goes into reminding me a lot of his solo stuff. i've got their album, they show a lot of proficiency. and i dont know if you know this, but a period means that there's a separate thought coming up, i didnt say having a good drummer makes a band metal. chill out.
