One step closer ntwana hi loko se hi popile
Tell em not to call us loko nyuku se yi tlokile
Numbers going up, now we see where we going
You gotta watch who applauds nigga
Cause people be faking a lot nigga
Never on a scene, I don't go out a lot
My peers left soon, I don't wanna die young
I'm not afraid of dying, I'm just living in my thoughts
I'm only afraid of leaving everyone I love
That's the way for me to beat suicidal thoughts
RIP to everybody that we lost
They might've had y'all bodies but they'll never have your souls
I hope we meet in heaven when my curtain close
Man, I swear to God, ima hug y'all
And get to laugh together like we did before
If I could turn back the hands of time, I would still choose rap
It's never an easy journey, I lost a lot of friends
Cause they didn't wanna hook up with no broke rapper
Now we in the cut my nigga, we never looking back
Lonely walks to high school in a grasshopper
It didn't start now since way back, I've been a loner
We've been asking for the spot va hi tsona
Now we pushing P like Pusha T, how you liking this dope lines?
Cooking in the stove like Hova, that's the way to go, right?
I know every nigga got an expiration date
That's why I gotta leave a mark man, I hope ain't late
I know every nigga got an expiration date
That's why I gotta leave a mark man, I hope ain't late
The lyrics to F.T Island's song "I Hope" are reflective and introspective, with the artist expressing personal experiences and emotions. The lines "They let a wrong nigga in the game se va flopile, One step closer ntwana hi loko se hi popile" suggest that the artist feels underestimated by others in the industry, but remains determined to prove himself. The phrase "Tell em not to call us loko nyuku se yi tlokile" conveys a sense of frustration with those who doubt or dismiss the artist's potential.
The lyrics further touch on themes of fame and authenticity. The lines "Numbers going up, now we see where we going, You gotta watch who applauds nigga, Cause people be faking a lot nigga" highlight the artist's awareness of the fickleness of success and the importance of discerning genuine support from the facade. They also convey a sense of caution and skepticism towards those who only show praise when it benefits them.
The lyrics then delve into feelings of isolation and mortality. The artist reveals that they don't go out much and feels a sense of displacement from their peers, who have moved on or met untimely ends. The lines "Never on a scene, I don't go out a lot, Niggas acting like they don't want my spot when I'm gone, My peers left soon, I don't wanna die young" illustrate a complex emotional state, with a willingness to face the reality of death but a desire to continue living and cherishing loved ones.
The song ultimately conveys a sense of hope and resilience, as demonstrated by the lines "I'm only afraid of leaving everyone I love, That's the way for me to beat suicidal thoughts, RIP to everybody that we lost, They might've had y'all bodies but they'll never have your souls". These lyrics express a determination to overcome dark thoughts and honor those who have been lost. The artist hopes for a reunion in heaven, where they can embrace and reminisce with their departed loved ones.
Overall, "I Hope" explores themes of resilience, authenticity, and the complexities of fame. It delves into the artist's personal struggles and desires, ultimately expressing a resolve to leave a lasting impact and cherish the connections that truly matter.

I'm trying to remember and feel the kpop like the old times where every fandom has less toxic fans and we are not looking for "who has the most viewed mv on youtube" to determine who has the great music, 1st and 2nd gen kpop will always be the true legends no matter what happen 🥺💖
Jamila 020
It was never less toxic never! It was even worse!
MiChaeng Trash
@Jamila 020 actually, no, before, when fandoms are fighting most of them are spitting facts, unlike today they keep on spamming vids everywhere, youtube views are the way of being successful and not awards, and most of the fandoms today are stupidly annoying, their heads gets bigger and keeps on thinking that their idol are above everything. You know old fandom might be harsh but they don't degrade other fandom that has nothing to do with them unlike todays fandoms, but still idols are still awesome.

@Jamila 020 you're new arent you? You dont know how it was back then hence you dont have factual takes. "It was worse" wheres the evidence? Ive been a kpop fan for 11 years now i cant tell a worse time on being part of kpop community except now, this toxic community, how far have we fall to this fame and numbers matters, when it was all about quality, music and talents, dance was always the SECOND before singing and skills. I havent jam or feel anything that much these past couple of years. Back when 2pm, suju, 2ne1,snsd, big bang were huge and 2pm was my bias group, the whole community knew that quality and standard wise infinite and BAP are the groups that filled it the most, we know what they bring to the table, we acknowledge them as a great group, it was always a tight competition. the big three dont mattered because if you're a great group you can be big and be acknowledged, nowadays being from huge company means everything.. if you're from a big company you can release shitty songs with fancy ass dance and youll be big just because kids love the members visuals or personality. Then the views and numbers increase, theres literally no competition, new groups all look similar, theyre all like "second BTS". They all have same concept which is "hard synchronized urban dance with catchy westernized songs" it doesnt even feel like kpop anymore. truly saddening for someone who witness everything, and seeing newcomers like you coming in acting like you know anything about the past.
